Harris is a good center! I thought that he was going to be Kevin's replacement

From what I heard, Amano practicaly begged to be center.

Neither Harris nor Amano are good people movers, and I think both deserve criticism in that regard. Although Amano is fairly big for an OC, Velasco is bigger than both guys in height and in weight too, so it stands to reason he's better built to roadgrade. I think the OL could get by with one or the other, but the duo seem to compound each other's deficiencies. If they could sandwich Amano between two very good OG's, or sandwich Harris inbetween Roos and a great OC, then I think their flaws would be fairly negligible. I'm hoping for Stanford OG David DeCastro in the 1st RD of the 2012 Draft, and/or Wisconsin OC Peter Konz in the 2nd RD. DeCastro is the better player, but I think C is the more important position.

Nevertheless, for all the criticism that the two gets, there's no denying they're great pass-protectors. And as long as they're protecting Hasselbeck, they'll continue to start. It's much more vital to keep Hass upright and healthy than it is to make mile wide holes for CJ.

I been saying start Velasco since that cowboys game last year. Dude is a solid interior lineman in the running back and need a shot.

I'd be okay with DeCastro in the 1st but I would rather us go with Osemele out of Iowa State. He is a 347 lbs right guard with quick feet. He is a plus pass blocker and a straight up mauler in the run game.

I would actually really like us to go RG in the first and OC in the second. With Amano/Harris sucking and Scott being a FA after this year (and honestly the only reason no one is noticing his decline is Harris/Amano be so bad) we need to overhaul our interior Oline.

    Roo - (Open competition/ Ben Grubbs) - Konz - Osemele - Stewart = League's best OLine.

Nice! Osemele is a dancing bear. He'd be a great addition too. Fortunately, if the juniors come out, this draft will have a good interior OL class at the top with Michael Brewster and Peter Konz at C and David DeCastro, Kelechi Osemele, and Cordy Glenn at G.

Yeah, if Scott wasn't declining, then we'd be able to atleast run off the right side with him and Stewart. He was a great FA signing, but it looks as if this is his last year in Tennessee.

And if we add guys like Konz and Osemele/DeCastro, then I'd be fine with putting Amano at LG. I also think Harris's best role is as a backup, especially since he's so versatile. The guy has played LG, C, and RT for us, so he's an ideal swingman. But signing a guy like Grubbs or Carl Nicks would be ideal. It looks like a promising FA group in 2012, but we probably need to go ahead and get Griffin and Finnegan under contract first and foremost (Gotta think we tag one of 'em, though).

Ben Jones out of UGA is another OC worth looking at in the 2nd - 3rd round of the draft. Was struggling earlier in the year but has settled a little bit. I really wanted Moffitt this year but, oh well.

Also, Finnegan is locked up through next season; I want to see Griffen play a full season well before I see him as a must resign.
