MNF Titan HATE

Get used to it dude. There's no Jeff Fisher, and no Vince Young. I'd say 95% of Titans news over the past 5 years have been around those two. Now that they're both gone, the national media doesn't know the Tennessee Titans even exist.

We'll have to go unbeaten for like a month before we get any love from any media outlet. Maybe when we take on Houston we'll get mentioned for 3-4 seconds. For some funky reason the media is infatuated with the Texans.

Beating the Steelers sure would help, but do we want to be recognized? We may start losing once all eyes turn to the Titans. In 2009 when we opened the season vs. Pittsburgh, we blew it. We went 0-6 to start the year. I don't mind not being talked about, but it would be nice to see the team we all love get a little TV time.

 

I'm just convinced we will never get recognition even if we win a Super Bowl. They always make excuses for why we win games. They're just flukes.

If we win in Pittsburgh, it's because they're banged up. I think a lot of it has to do with their lover boy not coaching our team anymore.

 

I noticed we weren't mentioned last night but hadn't kept up that we haven't been mentioned all year. That's crazy.

However, I was watching NFL Total Access this morning and Brian Billick was on there talking about who, through the first 4 games could win Coach of the Year, and he said he thought Mike Munchak would if the voting was held today. That was nice to hear.

 

Peter King also had Munch as HC of the quarter in his MMQB yesterday.

 

I find the fastest 3 minutes stupid. They have more time than 3 minutes to go over highlights. Alot of people can't watch all the games, but watch MNF. It would be awesome if they have a quick sportscenter and showed 15ish seconds of every team.

 

4th biggest city in America... so they talk about them for the ratings.

 

I was watching the NFL network yesterday and on the left, where they show what topics are coming up, it showed they were going to show some Titans/Browns highlights and then the next question was "Are the Titans for real?". I thought, cool the Titans are going to get a little attention. When they got to it the lady heading the show took the top paper off her stack and put it on the bottom and then proceded to talk about the internet poll question (the item after the Titans). They then went to a commercial and when they came back the Titan stuff was off the board. She totally dissed the Titans.
