McCoy vs Johnson

Look, I'm not going to get into this whole "McCoy vs CJ", CJ's still our running back and McCoy plays for Philly, whatever he's doing doesn't benefit us, but the fact of the matter is CJ has been a liability so far this year.

 

CJ is having a terrible year and he is partly to blame for that. Could McCoy do better, probably so. But he woulnd't be averaging 4 ypc or more behind this line. My whole point is that McCoy has shown that he is nothing special when Vick isn't on the field. If people want to say players like AP and Turner that are proven could get behind this line and hammer out over 4 ypc I might agree but McCoy has never shown me anything without Vick to make me think he is great and would be doing much better than CJ.

 

No, I'm not. He deserves plenty of blame but when he has actually been decent this year like in the Steelers & Cleveland game he wasn't part of the reason we lost. Just because he's been awful 75% of the time doesn't mean we can blame him for that other 25% too.

Sure you can bash him for everything that is wrong with our team. I'll stick to the actual stuff that he had a part in and be more realistic about it.

 

Nah man. McCoy is a great back. If they trade Vick and start Kolb, he still is a great back. A QB doesn't make a RB special. Vick may help take attention away from McCoy and make defenders forget about him a lot quicker, but McCoy in no way has shown that he is nothing special without Vick on the field.

I disagree. I don't see one loss on our record where CJ has not been a part of that loss. If he picks up two or three more yards on any specific play maybe a drive doesn't stall and we get a TD and momentum swings which changes the whole game. Saying CJ was not part of the reason we lost a game just because those have been his best two performances isn't very... (finish that sentence because I don't feel like it).

 

I don't care about McCoy or Vick, I care that CJ is the worst starting running back in the league right now. Enough with the excuses, have you watched the games this year? The Houston game was a perfect example that he lost his mojo.

But It's freakin CJ. That twitchy little girlish lookin dude... He hasn't done nothing for the team. Maybe if you're just into stats. I swear to God everybody that backs him on this forum has him on their fantasy team and they just want him to get it together so they can run the table and collect the 4th place 3 dollar prize or whatever. I don't know how that isht works.
