The Texans are the most mediocre team of all time. A lot of big names, no pay off.

Well, considering that we've beat Pittsburgh and lost to an emotional, non-injured Raider team (can't say that now) healthy as well as to two-faced New Orleans and Baltimore with three vital playmakers out, I'll take 5-3. Cakewalk schedule and players getting healthy...bodes well for the Texans. I'll eat crow if we fold again this year and shut up, but there's just not many reasons to expect that. Especially with our D this year.

A team that was content with being average would probably trade away their first rd pick every year for a bunch of 3rd and 4th rd picks. That would be cheaper.

To be a top team over a long time you need a top QB and we have not had that.

Are the Redskins better off the way they have done things the last 10 years? They spend big and fire a coach every 3 years. What has that got them?

    Stop.

You're making ridiculous excuses for those losses.

You lost to the Saints with AJ and Mario.
You lost to the Raiders with AJ and Mario.
You lost to the Ravens without both of those guys, but even with them you would've lost. No doubt. Don't pretend you would've won.

We lost our best player for the season. That's worse than your injuries.

You're 5-3. Congrats. There are still 8 games to be played. We know the Texans' history. You still have to play the Falcons, Bucs, Panthers, Bengals, and us again. So when was the last time you guys ever swept the Titans? Oh, that's right... never. Admittedly we definitely have the tougher schedule going forward, but you're way too confident in a team that has never reached the postseason. Trust me... you'll learn one day to limit those hopes. We've been to the playoffs 6 times as the Titans. We know what it's like, at least.

Isn't this the third year in a row y'all have been 5-3?

But CJ dont get paid mediocre.

Even if the team is mediocre, which I agree with, I think they could do a lot better. They were less than med. against the Hags, Steelers, and texans. .I expected a hags win and better play against the other two.

Before the season I did not expect much. AFter the Ravens game I thought we might have a pretty good team , especially after the running game starts to improve.

I think most fans would agree we are not Super Bowl material. But given the circumstances it would have been a great chance to win our division. It is still possible but the lack of the run game and britt absence seems to be against us.

I suppose Kennys injury was very significant. We cant run the ball effectively anymore, unless there is a big change soon. The other WR are not bad at all, but not stellar either. The OL and Dl for the most part looks like they are not trying. The game plan seems to either decrease or stay the same. Lets hope for change. No more Fisher ball please.

I think mediocrity is a great description for the Titans team so far this season. The rest is up to the team and coaches.

I think what kept this team from really being competitive was the mishandling of the salary cap explosion a few years ago. On top of that, we really got set back when we have missed on some very key picks starting before that time. Not including not hitting any real mid to late rounders with the exception of a few.

The VY fiasco really set us back regardless what you think about him. He played well enough to hold on to him for a few years and was later cut loose.

Things happen, I truly feel that for the most part, we for the most part, have a pretty good foundation to having a competitive team for quite some time.

I'm glad this organization isn't ran by fans. I swear, year in and year out, we'd have about as many picks as the Raiders do next year. Picking up every FA imaginable, because you've heard of the name? We'd be Raiders 2.0. When has Brandon Llyod ever taken a mediocre team to another level? Never. That's why he has been on 5 teams and just got traded for a 5th rounder. /rantover.

We're a mediocre team right now, for sure. It could be better or worse, but I like the shape we're in going forward. We need to build for success through the draft, and I feel last years draft was a step in the positive direction, unlike many of our past drafts.
