Im not really a big fan of Smith

Im always trying to throw out names instead of the same old guys, it just seems like everyone is keying on a few guys and you see the same names appear in everyone mocks

    my first round favorites
Luke Kuechly*, ILB, Boston College (my favorite of all in this years draft with the flexibility on McCarthy who played all three positions in college makes Luke Kuechly more attractive in my opinion)
Zach Brown, OLB, North Carolina (probably drop into the 2nd or third like most UNC linebackers)
Devon Still, DE/DT, Penn State 14 tfl 4 sacks
Brandon Thompson, DT, Clemson 4 tfl 2.5 sacks
Alameda Ta'amu, NT, Washington 4 tfl 1.5 sacks
----> these stats are pretty impressive for these big body guys that are suppose to eat up double teams and be run stuffers like you said if anyone of these guys drop to the second or third round I would love to take them instead of a safety or whoever else everyone wants to get

What we really need is a big athletic linebacker who can cover TE's

And big strong d-lineman to stuff the run and hold up bigger backs like turner, MJD, blount and others so that our linebackers can make a play so guys like griffin dont end up one on one (dont get me wrong but griffin does need to learn to take down bigger backs, but he shouldnt have to)

I think when it's all said and done, Jared Crick will still be a first round pick. He'll have the opportunity to go to the Senior Bowl, participate in the Combine and a Pro Day.

    1. Jared Crick DL Nebraska
    2. Markelle Martin S Oklahoma State
    3. DeVier Posey WR Ohio State
    4. Kevin Zeitler G Wisconsin
    4. Vick Ballard RB Mississippi State(comp pick for Babin)
    5. DaJohn Harris DT USC
    6. Greg Childs WR Arkansas
    7. Nathan Stupar LB Penn State

Go ahead and kill it :)

Ha no way Posey goes in the third round we can pick him up as an undrafted free agent
Childs the same thing probably will be a undrafted free agent
Dajohn Harris could be a good late round value pick to pair with casey

Crick depending how he does in the combine and senior bowl he could still be a late first pick but they are saying his size is whats going to hurt his stock I woudnt mind him in the first would rather see him fall

but it is good to see someone picking different guys other than the same old ones makes it a little big more interesting to have to look someone up you never heard of

No way Posey goes undrafted. He might not go in the third, but there's no way he goes after the fifth. A guy that big and that fast who plays at an AQ doesn't go undrafted. I like the way his game translates to the NFL a lot more than I ever liked Ted Ginn's or Anthony Gonzalez's.

We have no film to go off by him this year he was suspended all year
He has character concerns and that hurts draft stock a lot
I can see him being drafted but not in the 3rd i'll give him a fifth

Round 1: David DeCastro, OG, Stanford - We need to improve our offensive line. I like the options in this years draft to pick up an offensive lineman in the first round. Glenn is also a good option, but after watching some more film on DeCastro I think this guy could slot into our team and really improve our running game. He has made a tonne of great lead blocks in college and CJ2K would benefit with a durable, young guy like him blocking in front of him.

Round 2: Jared Crick, DE, Nebraska - I think this guy will drop down to the second round this year, and he's the exact type of player we need to inject some more energy into our defensive front. He is the big type of D-lineman that Jerry Gray likes to play at DE and he could be good in a rotation with Morgan and JJ.

Round 3: Marvin McNutt, WR, Iowa - McNutt is a great option at WR for the later rounds. He is a big-body, YAC type of guy that has the ability to make an incredible catch. He is also a willing blocker, which could help the production of CJ2K. McNutt is just the sort of strong target and new weapon. that would help a new starting QB like Jake Locker.

Round 4: Dan Herron, RB, Ohio State - We need another running threat. It's weird that we have barely used Jamie Harper this season and Javon Ringer isn't that great. Herron runs hard and is a good receiving threat. I suggest that we take four running backs next season because we really need some more versatility and threats at the position next season to make sure we are not the 32nd ranked run offense again.

Round 4 (comp): Mike Martin, DT, Michigan - I like Casey, Smith and Klug as our DT's but we need to replace Marks. Martin is a really powerful guy who is a real disruptive force against the run. He, in my opinion would do a better job that Marks who can only manage the odd tackle and penalty called on him.

Round 5: Tank Carder, OLB, TCU - This guy is a versatile linebacker, who is a solid back-up if one of our guys goes down. He has good leadership skills and is a pretty good all-round linebacker. He would be a solid pick in the fifth round.

Round 6: Philip Blake, C, Baylor - A guy that has anchored the offensive line for RGIII. He is a very powerful player that has huge size which he uses to his advantage not only to nullify the big DT's but, on top that, to create holes for his runner. He needs a bit more refining but could easily end up contending for a starting spot in our awful offensive line.

    Round 7: Lottery pick

There's three years of film with him playing with a terrible QB in Terrelle Pryor and he still put up solid numbers. Posey would have had over 150 yards today if Braxton Miller could throw the deep ball.

As far as character concerns, he got tattoos for selling his championship rings. I don't see that as a character flaw, they were his rings, he can do with whatever he'd like with them as far as I'm concerned.

I think he'd be fantastic value at any point on third day.

while you are technically correct about his rings I disagree completly. It is a disgrace IMO and I would want no part of someone who would do that for tattos. If he did it for his family then so be it, but for tattos is just crass

i never said it was better just saying the pick i wanted the titans to take went to cinci....but i would take Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin just like walter football has us taking..and the way the pouncey twins are doing i believe his stock will rise and we can either pick up a guard in FA or later in the draft and we also can have velasco to play at guard to so i believe C is one of our 3 biggest needs...

i wouldnt be opposed to trading down too to try to pick up more picks if anyone had anything worth trading down for but i dont see it as in trading down the the first opposed to trading out of the first

my 7 round mock with a 4th comp pick....
    1-Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin--reason listed above

    2. jeff fuller or dwight jones--both are big targets and we need a solid #2 reciever especially if britt isnt back healthy as i see williams as a slot reciever or fill in #2 so far

3.Kendall Reyes, DT, Connecticut--big dt who could come in and provide depth and potentially start for smith if he isnt getting his job done anymore but so far he has done what he was asked for

4.Ryan Miller, OG, Colorado--only drafting a center isnt going to solve our whole line problems so a guard to come in and compete for a starting spot

4.DeVier Posey, WR, Ohio State--double dip at wr as i believe hawkins wont cut it either and as a 4th round comp pick i believe we reach for him cause he wont be there when we picked in the 5th

5.Kenny Tate, OLB/S, Maryland--moved to olb this year but was a safety at first...could play either i see him as a polomalu(spelling) type player close to the line most of the time

6.Jeff Allen, OT, Illinois--possible long term solution and solid depth--
7.Cam Johnson, DE, Virginia--solid depth player

then pick up these players as undrafted if possible

Derek Moye, WRm Penn State--huge target like plax i had us picking him in the 6th but that would be 3 receivers in one draft and i dont see that happen

Jeff Demps RB, Florida--speedster that could return kicks if they dont like mariani anymore and he is basically a cj but in the later rounds IMO

    Micah Pellerin, CB, Hampton--depth

    Alex Hoffman, OG, Cincinnati

    what do you guys think?
