good lord - finally he rushed hard and well. get off his back he played real good.

Matt was garbage today. He finally had a good rushing attack and the passing couldnt get in sync. The WRs and TE's didnt help too much either in terms of separation. This worries me, as the bucs are near the bottom (could b the worst, cant remember) at pass D.

As for the rush, i didnt hear Morgan's name once except for a penalty. I know he still recovering, but i need more from him. I really hope he can turn it around next season.

    My other thoughts:

    MLB:
i'm loving Colin, and im really happy with him right now. That pick was a great play and some of those stops were real good. I know its EARLY and he has a long way to go, but that comparison to Ray (both Miami) made me happy. For the pick he trailed the receiver close and tight, read the rout/player, turned around found the ball, and reacted real well by holding on. Most LBs, heck DBs would drop that.

    DC:
Gray must understand the whole 3 man rush with zone D isnt working for us. that needs to end, NOW.

    OC:
For Chris P, i was not happy with him either. He finally had a good ground game working, and couldnt take advantage with good play calling. Alan (if he is still our ST coach) was more creative than the offense with one kickoff return. 1 Scope Vanilla Please....

    Comment on Palmer/Matt/Cook:

They need to try to get Cook catching on the go. The hooks with him over the middle don't seem to b working right now and will get him injured. He is a very big player, and Matt takes a long time to check down, not a good equation. I need to see him streaking or if he is catching more to the sideline up high - from what ive seen he's good at plucking it out of the air.

    Tommie C:
    Does anyone know his status?

Yeah, you try throwing a football in the cold rain on a newly sodded field. It could have been worse...it could have been an away game.

As for our QB, yeah it wasn't his greatest game but what I saw out there was an intensity to get the offense back into the swing of things even after that awful pick-6 he threw. That's the mark of a long time vet and a true leader. I'm sure he heard the chants for "Locker!" after the pick-6 but it didn't rattle him. Hasselbeck is still the MVP of this football team.

And CJ finally looked like CJ, although there were a few times that it was clear the O-line missed their assignments and CJ got caught in the backfield. But most of the day the blocking was much better and CJ followed them, cutting back at the right times. Running really is a team effort and when the team performs well, you get performances like today.

The Defense looked pretty solid today. They kept us in this one...it could have easily been a blowout.

    Special teams rocked.

Finally, I was one of the "true fans" actually at LP Field today. Props to all those who showed up. Most everyone stayed there until the end. I know it sucks to come to a game when the forecast is like today but if you want to support the team, you can't be a fair weather fan.
