how many yards are not as important as when the yards are gained.

PussNcleats got 1000 this season, but he only was a positive factor a few times. 10+ games the little guy was shut-down.

1,000 yard seasons are no longer as meaningful as they once were. Even before this year, basically every full time starter should get 1,000.

Hell, its not unheard of to have two runningbacks on the same team get 1,000 or real close.

One of those teams will overpay Finnegan. It's the Titans history not to overpay their talent.. sadly I think Finny will be gone :(

We should go after Brent Grimes in FA. He's a solid and very underrated corner that may come fairly cheap. He also plays with a chip on his shoulder, which is something I like for this team. Size is a concern with him though.

Of course teams are going to have interest in Finny. I still don't think he hits the open market. Munchak said last week that we have not taken the franchise tag off the table in dealing with Finny.

I don't think Finny would immediately sign the franchise tag. The Texans on the other hand can't even consider placing the tag on Mario Williams because of the cap ramifications if he did sign it immediately. They can't take a 22mil dollar hit and we all know that Mario would sign that tag right away.

We could tag Finny and see how things go in FA and if he hasn't signed it then we could rescind the tag.

I just don't see him hitting the open market day 1 of FA.

I like Grimes, but can't see ATL letting him leave. He is 29, maybe the Falcons won't offer him a large multi-year deal and he walks? But, Dunta Robinson is trash, Falcons NEED Grimes.

Big fan of Terrell Thomas, who went down with a season ending knee injury on the 2nd pre-season game. Very physical and solid tackler like Finnegan. Would be a risk due to injury issues, check out this article though: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/27/s...fl-players-contract-years.html?pagewanted=all
