What type of team would you like to see the Titans become? Which type will lead to success, and of course excitement. Maybe consider the better teams in the league right now as examples (Pats: Two TE's, beast O, not much of a D or run game, Steelers: Great D, solid run game, big pass play threat with Brown and Wallace, Giants: Beast Pass Rush, Big Pass Play, run game shows up when needed but it is not emphasized, etc). Which of the current (or past) blueprints set up a team for success deep into the playoffs.

In my opinion, I think we should try to model the Giants. Think the Giants offense with a much more mobile Eli and more athletic TE. On D, I would like to emulate the Giants consistently dominant pass rush, and have solid players fill the rest of the back 7 (I think McCarthy and Ayers have bright futures), and a dominant safety like a Reed, Troy P, Berry, etc would also be great to have (this way of thinking makes me want Barron if he falls to us).

I really want a team of scrappy players who play with a chip on their shoulder. I want our players to never give up, and always fight through adversity, staying mentally tough throughout the season. I know from watching Locker throughout his time at UW that he has this mentality, and I hope it will spread to the rest of the team.

I have confidence that the FO will make the right moves, and I also have confidence in Munch as a coach, I think he will lead us to great places.

What does everyone else think? What type of team do you want to see down the road?

Giants, we are modeling our offense off that team I believe with a slight pinch of more run game, if we could have the CJ with that passion he had before... It's really a bright future.

Our defense... I think the coaches want what we use to have on d, tough aggressive defense, DE being the focal point, pass rush... So really... The giants.

that's exctly what I was thinking...the Giants but with a much more mobile Eli and a playmaking RB. Our D just has to get back to what it once was

lol... i still think the Giants had a very lucky super bowl run.... blotched special teams with SF and a catch that welker could've made with his eyes closed.... oh well.. luck is always a factor in a superbowl run..

I really think our defense starts at the line...with players like vandenbosch and fattysworth clogging up the middle and putting pressure on the QB... they basically threw it to Griffin... now we cant even get to the QB... DL's the way to go if we want our defense back...

Sounds great. But where are we going to get the playmaking RB?

Right on, totally agree about the Giants. The thing that bugs me the most about them is when they have an average team they win the Superbowl. When we have an average team we miss the playoffs. Some franchises just have all the luck. First the back into the playoffs by another Dallas implosion, then they catch every single break along the way to the Superbowl. Guess I'm just jealous that marginal teams can win while we just continue to flounder.

I think the conversation is about what mold we are headed in, not who's got more luck or who gets hot at the end of the year.

Winning the SB is part luck, unfortunately, you need a dash of luck to keep things alive sometimes. Regardless of who's better or who's more stacked.

Luck is more than "part" of the equation.
The Titans go into the home stretch with a mostly healthy team (Britt, Morgan etc.) and some tweaks to the line I think they have as good a chance as The Giants did last year.

Those guys lost 5 of 6 in a Nov/Dec stretch. Sickening..
