For once his defense and running game bailed him out while he tried to once again choke away a big game.

Anyone taking up for Peyton's post-season play needs to just stay out of football conversations. The end.

Why would half the team resent the FO for bringing in a HoF QB?!? Just because they're friends with Hasselbeck? By that logic we should never upgrade any position ever. Even if some did resent them the move, I bet if Peyton started throwing 2-4 TDs per game on the reg they'd get over it pretty quick.

And while we weren't technically a losing team we sure played like one for most of the year. It's not like we were knocking on the door with our current QB situation.

Peyton held the Colts hostage with his salary and his style of play.

If he came to TN, it would be similar, and we'd suck in 3-4 years like Indy does right now.

I think Peyton would be reasonable with his contract, given his injury and year away from football. If not, then we pass. All I'm saying is if he's healthy and can be had for the right price we'd be insane not to go after him. Obviously I don't want us giving him a 60 million dollar contract or anything.

Held hostage, that's another way of saying he played to his talents.I would take all I could get if in the same position.
If you don't get it while the getting is good the boat sails.
That being said I am not an advocate for him at the Titans but if it happened I would not be devasted. I would just hope it works.

Manning is just a bad idea for the titans. Hasselbeck did well for us last year as well as Locker. Why change our QB now when we have just had our best passing season since McNair was here. Not to mention Manning is most likely going to eat up A LOT of cap space.

I could go on but i dont want to. He is just a bad idea for the titans.

Remember; this teams goal going forwards is to make NEW mistakes, not to have the same problems as last year reoccur again this year.

We were a 9-7 team with a whole new team. Just think about how good this group will be now that they know how each other plays.

Don't tinker with a good thing!

    Here's a hypothetical for ya...

Let's say Peyton's healthy and could be had for 3 years/30-35 million. We gave Hass 3 years/20 million BTW. Would swapping out Hasselbeck for Peyton be worth the extra money over the life of the contract in your mind?

I'm very curious to see what kind of contract Peyton gets when he signs with his new team. I really think many of you are over-exaggerating the type of money he is going to want. I'm expecting him to sign a 2-4 year deal full of incentives, but with a very respectable base salary.

Keep in mind, this guy is filthy rich already. If he really wants to go to one particular destination (be it Tennessee, Miami, whatever) I'm sure he's going to be more than willing to be reasonable with his contract. He's actually a pretty smart guy and no doubt is aware of the concerns teams have regarding his age and injury.

So his defense bailed him out by giving up 34 points? Yeah...great logic there buddy.

Btw Deuce who would you want as QB in the playoffs

Does anyone believe Peyton would come to the Titans and adopt our offense?

Or would he impose his style, and make everyone learn what he knows...?

We know our offense works, it's won Eli Manning 2 rings.

What Peyton does, only Peyton can do, and it's not been the best system even for him.
