    Look at our defense.

Do you think we're going to outscore many teams with Matt Hasselbeck checking down every play?

ESPN will want to pay him to make his decision on live TV.

TheSureThing, I don't think you're going to be happy with the outcome..

We have holes to fill on D (sort of why not having our cap money held hostage here may have been helpful, but that is spilled milk now), which we will need to fill with second tier folks. I see us focusing on D in the draft again, and we did pretty well with that approach last year.

At QB, I am not sure why everyone assumes Hass will start. I would not be surprised to see Locker win the competition...he progressed alot last season IMO.

Hutchinson, and (we HAVE to assume a warm body at C instead of Amano) the rest of the line will be improved just because Hutch is there and Amano is not playing C. CJ will be in shape, not distracted, and probably playing a little pissed because of last season.

Before we pissed away chances at some good hole pluggers in the FA market, I was confident that we would be a 10-11 win team with the Locker/Hass QB approach. Now I am not as sure, but still think we will be at least as good as last year. How we draft will dictate how much better we are IMO.

I can't even blame Bud...He saw the home run and he went for it. We've all criticized him in the past for being to conservative in Free Agency. Now he's going after the biggest Free Agent ever and he's getting crucified.

I guess I'll be waking up at 10:45 tomorrow morning to stalk a plane and white van for the duration of the morning..

I think the Defense will be better this season.

Our pass rush could hardly get worse. A rookie should get the same production as last year. Certainly cant get much worse. I dont think we will miss Finny as much as everyone things we will., He gave up 7 out of every 10 balls that came to him last season. Hardly flattering. Griff CANT suck worse than last year. LBers with a year under their belt, will improve.

As for Hass, he fell off hardcore after losing Britt. Thats why, imo, we dont need to discount receiver so much. Took a while for Will/Hawk to get it together. Williams was also very inconsistent.

We already improved one spot on the line, if he can stay health. If it helps enough and they let CJ be useful, the offense will be much improved as well.

Even with all that crap, what we need is to be consistent. Theres no reason to let a winless team beat us. That was on the coaches, and the players.

Either way, our team next year WILL be better than this past season and I am pretty confident in that.

What truly annoys me is how much better we could have been.

this whole thing just gets more weird every day..

    http://sports.chronicleblogs.com/2012/03/16/manning-and-the-broncos-timeline/

ChronicleSports, the Duke Newspaper, is sticking to their story...I'm no expert, but I don't think you can throw 50-60 passes in under 16 minutes.

Cutcliffe Left at 2:22 PM, Manning and company didn't leave til 4 PM. I don't like this..

And the Broncos plane didn't leave until 6-7pm that night...The fact that Peyton and Elway hang out like they are battle buddies could be the end of us.

I don't blame Bud for going for it here, I blame a man who has been in business for probably seventy years for giving away ALL leverage in the negotiations with his public comments. The way he went about this would be understandable if he were in high school, but he should have really known better.

I really believe that this would have been wrapped up already, and cost at least 25% less than what it will wind up costing, if he would have kept his big mouth shut in front of the microphone and let his FO handle this.
