I am excited for Locker though. Love him!

I hope we can get Freeney or Wimbley at least.

Really not worth the 19M cap hit. Unless we strike out on all FAs. And what will they want? I suppose if we can also get him to sign like a 2-3 year extension... but it seems Dwight is all about the money.

Well, that's interesting. He chose to make a change in his life instead of keeping to what is familiar. You can't hate him for that. I also bet that Elway promised him a piece of the Bronco pie after he retires. And really, you can't beat those Rocky Mt. highs! I would love to live there but everyone I know lives here and I'm too old to go where nobody knows my name! Good luck to him!

If you look at Peyton Manning's split stats on ESPN, he is better outdoors than indoors.

One Niners fan on the board doesn't trust Mortensen's report…
I think he's a Bronco, but it's an interesting thought.

Read the Jim Wyatt article on the main page, Peyton called Bud personally to inform him of his decision.

I doubt it. If he told a team to open negotiations, that's his choice.

    what a f*cking joke.

Silver lining? Maybe our FO can begin to concentrate on positions that we need to fill. Going after Manning did enough damage with us missing out on some key free agents.
