The Official Offseason Thread

-We weren't going to pay Finnegan anyway
-Outside of Mario Williams and Abraham who have we really missed on? Mario was too expensive and the Falcons were going to bring back Abraham anyway.
-Is LB really that big of a need?
-McCourty is a good CB and Verner has been pretty solid. We just need to add another contributor and we'll be fine.
-Who are upgrades at safety?
-You don't know that. Who is to say that's the case?
-You're calling out our bottom of the depth chart guys? Yeah damn those loyalties to the back ups!


Free Agency just started last week, we still have the draft, and plenty of cap space. We will be adding more players before the season starts, guarantee it.

 

Scott was worse than Harris

 

Easily! I personally think we should swith Amano and Harris back to their old positions if we don't pick up a good center. harris played very well at center in that playoff game.

 

1) If one of your best players leaves, it is the front office's job to fill their shoes...we didn't do that.

2) Mario Williams and John Abraham were the ones we were SUPPOSED to add to our roster to help us out where we are thinnest. We didn't get that done. (Oh, and both were interested in the Titans).

3) Linebacker will be a huge need in the future.

4) I just read the other day (it was linked somewhere in gotitans) that McCourty allowed the 3rd most completions in the league. Also, Verner may be a ball hawk, but sometimes he lacks awareness and the size/speed to match up with upper tier talent.

5) I have no comment on the safety position because, unfortunately, there were no good ones out there to begin with...

I'm just saying that this wild goose chase has set our team back tremendously.

 

I remember the first time Harris was put at C, a few errand snaps in a row. Amano may actually be a better C than Harris.

But I wouldn't mind trying it. Amano's problem is he doesn't recover after the snap to block the DT he's matched up against. It's a massive problem no doubt, but I guess it could be worse (errand snaps)

 

For once I agree with OneTon. Thus far this offseason the Titans have done nothing and have regressed as a result. The only real significant move the Titans have made was losing Finnegan. They are going the wrong direction talent-wise.

 

My main point is, the off season isn't over. Stop blaming the FO for going after someone they thought could take us to the next level. We already have a new starter at OG and we're about to sign Wimbley. Porter is coming in for a visit and so is Saturday, it's obvious that we're trying to improve this team. Let's not forget the draft, which we did great in last year.

Teams miss on free agents every year, if you want to blame the PM chase then go for it but at the end of the day they chose to sign somewhere else.

Another starter on the OL, Wimbley, and a solid CB would be a nice FA class. Along with another good draft I would say we improved.

 

If you were such a flipping genius then you wouldn't be on an internet message board arguing with fans, you would be running an NFL front office but oh wait, you're not.

I swear, some fans act like they know what goes on behind closed doors when truth be told very few people know how to run an NFL office.

You mention losing out to guys like Carr and MW...say it with me, WE WERE NEVER GOING TO MATCH THE KIND OF MONEY THEY WERE DEMANDING!!!!!!!

The only guys we remotely missed out on were Wells or Myers.

 

I think with some..the FO can do no wrong LOL. Its cool..all entitled to our own opinion
