In the 2011 Draft Re-Do Bucky Brooks has us taking DeMarco Murray over Jake Locker at 8. Is he out of his mind?

While the idea of having Smash and Dash with Murray is definitely mouth watering. How could we possibly afford another first round pick on a RB??? ...Especially when we had such a huge need at QB. I absolutely loved the JL pick and I still would definitely not go back on it.

On the other hand, if we didn’t shock the world by taking “The Shake” at #8, maybe there wouldn’t have been an onslaught of QB taken so early. So it is entirely possible that we still could of landed Ponder or Dalton in the 2nd. We already know that Mallet fell to the 3rd.

    What are your thoughts?

I've always suspected Bucky Brooks was retarded. I guess I was right.

Murray was my sleeper last year, but you still take a QB whom you think is a franchise builder.

Yeah let's drop a guy who we think has franchise potential and didn't throw a single interception in 66 attempts (99.4 QBR in limited time) for a running back to overtake a recently highly-paid player who was clearly very sub-par last year yet STILL managed to cross 1k with a 12 yard game on his stat sheet.

    Right.

It seems like every year, atleast 4 running backs come out of the woodwork and have great seasons.

You don't pass on a potential franchise QB for running backs. Especially when running back wasn't our real problem last year.

I agree 100%. I wouldn't change that pick for anyone except maybe Cam Newton. I have very high hopes for Jake.

Still though, if Jake Locker was off the board...CJ and Murray would give us the best backfield by far, and I would be ok with Mallett sitting behind Matty H. for one more season.

Maybe I can get that combo on my Fantasy team next year!

I could see someone like JJ Watt in the Titans spot, as Hasselbeck seems to be a decent short term alternative, the Titans need line help, Watt was very good, and Locker hasn't done anything at this point.

Murray doesn't make sense. It'd be Dash and Dash.

Actually it would be "Start to dash, and trip over Amano's fat butt in the backfield."

I don't see the Titans taking a RB at 8 and then giving CJ what he wanted; it just wouldn't make sense.
