If used properly, I think we have a very talented defense. Barring injurys and problematic coordination

Morgan, if he follows up with what he was doing the last end of the season, he can be disruptive and come up big for us.

Wimbley is a question mark, but did some pretty good things for Oakland last year... I think he could be a key to a push.

Casey, klug and the newest addition Martin, are solid DT rotations. Both Casey and Martin will be more disruptive than people think and klug is a great rush specialist... I like the depth.

Ayers rushing from the end position or even standing up could be pretty exciting. Good size and tenacity... Just gotta get it put to use.

McCarthy must stay healthy and be the tackle machine... He wowed last season...

Witherspoon/Brown... Neither one puts a lot of hope with us right now but, we still haunt gotten to see what the coaches can get out of brown... Talent wise... Brown could have it...

    Secondary...

McCourty did well last season, this season will be a challenge tho with top ranked teams coming to town.

Verner comes up big... Pretty sure he can keep it up

3rd CB.... Who will it be? Coty? The speed kid? Hawkins who did well against the saints last season? This is a big question mark.

Babs is solid, nothing spectacular but solid.

Griffin... Who knows which one will show up to play.

    Offense

Qb... Who starts? Does locker impress big time or let the big time overcome him?

    Hass CAN NOT win it.

Rb- cj1k needs to play a bigger factor. We also need a power back that we can trust to get 2 yards and goal line carries.

O line... Center is a big question mark. Solid around tho.

Cook, britt, Washington and wright can all come up big for us... Depends one who is throwing them the ball I think tho. And that's a very talented group.

Britt is a complete mach up nightmare for defense, Washington can shown he can play big, cook is a mach up night mare is given the opportunities and he holds on to the ball... Wright is yet to be seen, but if it's anything like college...i expect big things.

I think it comes down to qb and our secondary.

If lockers starts, can he lead this explosive offense to wins? Does he become clutch? You have to be clutch to win it. He has the weapons.

Does our secondary hold up to this seasons opponents and big play potential...

And last... Can we run the ball.

I think it's up to CJ. Im not worrie about QB. If Tebow and Alex Smith can win a playoff game, Hass or Locker certainly can

If Locker wins the starting job before the regular season kicks off then I think our chances of making a serious run go up a lot. I like Hasselbeck, have a lot of respect for him BUT I don't believe he is gonna give us a better chance overall than Jake will.

Our pass protection was solid last year and adding a guy like Hutchinson will only make that even better plus improve our running game a ton. Adding weapons like Thompson and Wright to an already solid mix of Cook, Washington and Britt will make for a very potent offense.

Adding a guy like Wimbley isn't getting as much love as it deserves if you ask me. We needed a high impact pass rusher and I feel like we got the best one that was on the market. No doubt Williams would have been a great pickup but just was not worth the asking price. Adding a stud like Martin and another solid pass rusher like Solomon is also gonna improve our rotation of DL a lot.

Our LB group is gonna be strong also so the big ? is our secondary. Will Griffin be motivated to step up his game to get a long term deal or will he get worse? Does Verner or Campbell answer the call to help fill the void Cortland leaves behind? That is where I see the most uncertainty. I haven't forgotten about the black hole that is Eugene F***ing Amano, I just have to believe that our coaches have a plan to fix that.

I feel like we're getting there. All you gotta do is get to the playoffs to have a chance to win it all. I think we'll have a better chance within the next year or two. Giving Locker time to develop and some of our younger players will get more experience (Casey, Klug, Ayers, McCarthy, McCourty, Verner, Britt, Cook, Wright). Hoping we make a run at it before we lose Roos and Stewart. Without them our o-line would be REALLY terrible. It'd be nice to see what Derrick Morgan can do with a full season injury free.

I'm optimistic, but not a dreamer. Playoffs - yes, SB - not yet.

Lol no, we might sneak into the playoffs but we'll get dusted by the first good team we play.

Our offense will not be good/consistent enough to account for a lacking D.
