Verejao (probably the centerpiece of the team aside from Kyrie) missed the final 41 games of the season.

If we do some basic math, that would put him out around game 24 (that is, he got injured around game 24). So obviously he was out before the Cavs were 13-21 (since 13+21 > 24). In fact, when Andy went out is when things started plummeting for them, because he was the only person that could remotely play the Center position (and if you attempted to do any research, you could easily find that Andy was third or fourth in the NBA in rebounding before he went out, kinda need to rebound in basketball don't you think?)

And then in March even more people started dropping and they wound up starting mostly D-Leaguers for awhile, so anyone with half a brain couldn't expect much from them at that point. That'd be like saying the Titans sucked as a team after having a bad record after enough players went out that they had to start their practice squad i.e. idiotic.

Same thing that happened to them this season: injuries.

Mind you, I'm not saying the Cavs would have for sure made it to the playoffs or even done anything once they got there. But people saying "they suck" when they are ignorant to what was going on with the team is just dumb. I wouldn't say the Timberwolves sucked this year because I know they lost Rubio (who was a centerpiece to the team) halfway through. Likewise, I wouldn't say the Bulls sucked as a team because they went out in the first round, since I know Rose and Noah were injured.

But the Bulls also dealt with injuries all year long and still finished with best record in the league. Making your point about injuries irrelevant.

And why would I or anyone do any research on the Cavs!!??

Bulls are a massively deep team with an excellent coach and excellent defense.

I don't think anyone who isn't trying to tear down LeBron would say that he had a good cast with the Cavs. They were terrible before LeBron and they were terrible after he left. They were far improved this year because Kyrie Irving is a future superstar. They had names, but no one at the top of their game. They made bad moves. They had Wally Szczerbiak to a ridiculous crippling deal. Instead of building a core team, they just brought in one washed up player after another --- kinda like the Heat are doing.

Lebron wasn't the only one that left.

And take any star player off a team and see how they do the season after.

That team was far more stacked than the Heat are.

Same thing that'd happen to the Lakers if they lost their star player + their center like the Cavs did.

People act like Lebron was the only one to leave.

They lost Delonte West, Mo Williams, Shaq, and Lebron. That's like 4 of their starting 5.

Actually, who was left on that team? Z left too, I think...

So people acting like that was because of Lebron? lol... c'mon...

that team got lebron the best record in the league for 2 years. And it wasn't them that disappeared when it mattered- they kept scoring the same. It was he that vanished.

Antwan Jamison was a stat filler guy. He really has never made anyone better and he is clearly on the downswing of his career. Shaq was done. Mo Williams shot 34% his last year and you have a bunch of journeymen role players. Are you really saying that is better than Wade and Bosh?

    Stacked?

Delonte West wasn't a starter and averaged 6 points per game in the playoffs his last season with Cleveland.... and he was traded to the T-wolves and immediately cut.

I hate when I have to do this. It'd be easier if people that don't follow the NBA just stayed out of the conversation... Lebron fans... *sigh*

Average points per game over the years in/leading to Miami...

Shaq - Averaged 18 ppg the year before arriving. 12 while there.

Jamison - Averaged 22 ppg the year before arriving. 16 while there.

Mo Williams - Averaged 16 ppg.

    Big Z - Averaged 13 ppg.

Do you know how hard it is to find a supporting team of 4 starters that average double digits?

    Very.

So really think about it before you just write these guys off as scrubs because you need an excuse for LBJ.

They also had one of the highest scoring benches in the NBA.

    So try another...
