I just find it really funny thats all, this 'hot' yoga is pretty crazy and imagining a guy of Smith's size doing it, good stuff.

    From the article:
"Hot yoga is done in a warm classroom, where the humidity and temperature help students burn more calories while building strength and flexibility, and decreasing stress. Smith said he’s already lost 22 pounds this offseason, going from 362 pounds to 340. He wants to get to 330-335 for the season."

    ----

I know quite a bit about losing weight, i've lost 45 KGs (99 lbs) and counting. I was a pretty big guy at 125KG and now i am about 80, but he's not doing too bad himself.

Glad to see he's trying to get better because he really did struggle last season. If Casey/Klug continue to develop and Mike is the player we think he is, this guy is at best our 3rd tackle. Here is a quick summary of the DT's we have on our roster, as per Tenn.com

    ----
    STACKED POSITION

Defensive tackles competing to win roster spots with the Titans:

    • Shaun Smith. Now surrounded by talented youngsters, the veteran Smith needs a solid offseason in order to stick.

    • Jurrell Casey. A third-round pick last year, he was a big impact player on run defense.

    • Karl Klug. A fifth-round pick last year, he has a knack for getting to the quarterback. He’s looking to improve his run defense.

    • Sen’Derrick Marks. Heading into his fourth season, he’s in a battle to make the roster.

    • Zach Clayton. He was inactive for most of his rookie season, but will get more chances in Year 2.

    • Lamar Divens. The former Lincoln County standout will try to stick with the Titans after several other NFL stops.

    • Mike Martin. A third-round pick this year, the Titans expect him to be a force immediately.

    • DaJohn Harris. Was regarded as a potential mid-round pick before medical questions kept him from getting drafted.

    -----

Personally, i will need to see a lot more out of Smith to justify a roster spot. Last year, unless the RB ran into him, he didnt really do anything; as for pass rush, he didnt do much of that either.

Regardless, I really do expect big things from Casey/Klug/Martin; i think we have a solid core moving forward.

Good! He needed to do something. His ROSTER SPOT is on the line. I felt that him and CJ were on my "All Bank Robbery Team" for the Titans because they stole money from the Titans last season.

Great for him! Hopefully his work pays off on the field! We are very deep at that position. It would be nice to see him earn a spot.

It's sad when you've lost 22 pounds and you still weigh 340.

But I am glad he's at least trying. Being big at his position is important, but not THAT big.

Did Cutter10 send you a death thread? You forgot Malcolm Sheppard, the greatest DT ever.

We should just go with the 1-5-5 defense because Sheppard can handle the whole o-line.

I bet you the last time he saw his penis it was before Seinfeld was canceled.

I initially high-fived you, then gave you an "it sucks" (because Seinfeld was not canceled), and finally decided to give you the high-five anyways because it's likely the case for big Shaun.
