You call 3 & outs production? You'd rather have a, for sure, large amount of check downs well short of the sticks, than have Jake throwing past the sticks? I guess it takes a true titans fan to turn what jake did last season into something negative, and turn what Hass did last year into something positive. Let's just continue with assured medeocrety instead of taking a chance on greatness. That's what we've always been used to. Why should we want anything more?

    who said they hated production?

    99.4 QB Rating, 5 Total TD's/No Turnovers, 8.21 AVG = Production

    (Hasselbeck's last 9 games) 73.2 QB Rating, 5 Total TD/8 Turnovers, 6.68 AVG = LACK OF PRODUCTION

Hasselbeck lost to the winless Colts, thats pretty real good production..

I think we'll all be split on this issue until our starter is named. Don't get me wrong people I like Hasselbeck but I really can't understand the loyalty to him after such an average season. 3,000 yards passing is something we're not used to I will admit that but dude was nothing special and at times looked downright pathetic.

If MH is named the starter I won't agree but I will still root for him just the same.

You're misinterpreting consistent QB play as loyalty. No one is really "loyal" to Hass, we're just thankful to have a solid QB that can make throws under pressure and not throw at receivers feet and quit.

I'm really just really really tired of arguing about this, so I'm done. See you guys in August when we have something more to go on.

Since when is this the standard? What are we a high school team?

Uhh, well, I guess since your two friends Colonel Sanders and Vince Gump came through and set us back 5 years.

we had bad quarterbacks....doesn't make it the standard throughout the league.

Terrible logic: Our QB's sucked in the past, so in the future, lets be content with old average QB's because we're better off than before

There is no substitute for playing experience and Matt's wealth of playing experience gives him the edge over Jake in many categories.

Jake can only close the gap by getting on the field and playing.
Also, I beleive there are some categories that you left out that factor into giving the team the best chance to win:

    Escaping the pocket-
    Extending plays-
    Playmaking-
    Throwing on the run-
    Competitiveness/Will to win-

    From Bill Walsh:

The single trait that separates great quarterbacks from good quarterbacks is the ability to make the great, spontaneous decision, especially at a crucial timeā€¦ This is where the great quarterback uses his experience, vision, mobility and what we will call spontaneous genius. He makes something good happen. This, of course, is what we saw in Joe Montana when he pulled out those dramatic victories for Notre Dame.

I don't know how anyone could say that Locker is more accurate than Hasselbeck. Hate on Hasselbeck all you want, but Locker will miss a 5-yard out by 10 yards.

    will he?....

Also I think Locker is more accurate on the deep ball, mainly because hasselbeck has no deep ball.
