    Officially giving up.

Between his constant injuries and stupidity, it's a lost cause.

I honestly think that Wright was going to be his replacement. I don't think the FO had much faith in Britt, for good reason. They know him, and they know you don't want to have Washington, Williams, and Hawkins as your future's WR corps.

Never should have gave this dude money. We're just feeding his monkey now. by throwing good money at him. As much as I've bashed CJ and Griffin, they are 10 times the person Britt is.

[float][IMG][/float] Another day, another NFL player arrested for driving under the influence.

According to Nashville radio station 104.5 The Zone, Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt has been arrested for DUI. Details on the arrest are still developing outside of the fact that it took place in Fort Campbell, an army base which is on the line between Kentucky and Tennessee. According to the report, Britt and teammate Tommie Campbell were bringing a female soldier back to the base when guards at the gate stopped the vehicle.

If true, this isn’t Britt’s first brush with the law. He had three bouts of legal trouble in 2011 for charges ranging from theft-by-deception to leading police on a car chase and resisting arrest. That led to a meeting with Commissioner Roger Goodell that did not achieve its goal of scaring Britt straight if the radio report is true. He wasn’t suspended because the incidents came during the lockout, but Britt’s record dates back beyond that — seven previous arrests altogether — something that’s sure to impact a decision about punishment from the league.

Britt has spent this offseason rehabbing the ACL and MCL he tore in his right knee early last season. Britt has had two surgeries on that knee and recently had one on his other knee. His recovery from those surgeries was a big concern for the Titans this offseason and now it appears we can add a possible suspension to that list.

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch and Rams defensive end Robert Quinn have also recently been arrested on charges of driving drunk.

Last offseason, Titans wideout Kenny Britt was held up as a prime example of off-field misbehavior without the structure of training camps, thanks to a number of run-ins with the law. But maybe it's just Britt: he was reportedly arrested for DUI in Fort Campbell, Kentucky early Friday morning. That report comes from 104.5 The Zone in Nashville, Tennessee, although from all accounts, a spokesman from the military base has not offered up comment. The Titans have, however, and they handed Jim Wyatt the standard-issue vague comment about gathering facts. (It, literally, is boilerplate.) "We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering more facts," the Titans said in a statement. This is extremely bad news for Britt, as it is his eighth -- eighth! -- arrest since he was drafted by the Titans in the first round (30th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. Britt was involved in a number of different run-ins with the law during the locked-out offseason last year, but wasn't punished because there was no CBA. [IMG]

I'm sure glad we drafted Wright. I knew things happen for a reason

Not even going to waste my two cents on Britt right now. I'm fed up.

    UGHHH!
Can't believe this! Don't want to believe this.

    Kenny, what happened dude???

If I find out Tommie Campbell was sober and he let Kenny drive, I'm going to be way more mad about this.

Thank God no one was hurt.

    But this could be beneficial.

Say he does get suspended 4 games, that's actually exactly when he should come back to play. 1 full year of no contact could go a long way for his knees.

I cannot believe that the soldier did not tell him that it is damn near impossible to get on a base drunk. Especially if you do not have DoD decals. Whole lot of dumb in that car.

I laugh at the TO comment. Like that is the guy we would go to to replace another immature kid.
