The pass to Cook was high, but at least only Cook had a play on the ball. I think it's part Jake sailing the ball last night, and part trying to place it away from defenders. You'll notice Matt also sailed a couple of his last night too. I wonder if it's a reaction to getting passes batted down.

I'm much more optimistic about our chances. Key is that the team believes in Locker and that we can move the ball. They do. We should be competitive. Only question is how far can Locker take us. Because we are so athletic, and fast, accuracy will not be as important in my opinion, but it is ideal because we have guys who can run in space. Should improve over time.

It was better but far from where I hope he is in a couple of weeks. As long as we continue to see improvement, I think the future is bright.

He does run north south... he takes the ball headed south then turns north then oh gets tackled.

it seemed like most of those runs where CJ got no gains were all stretch run plays where the D just easily penetrated through our oline and got to CJ - the few nice gains he got were on plays where he could just "run" and not look for the seam to open up.

When CJ goes on those stretch plays it always seems like D's are waiting for him to cut to the backside.

One good thing is that the PA, when we ran it was pretty effective.

A good portion of those plays are sweeps or designed that way, before he can get to the edge which is where he play is supposed to go there are 3-4 guys that penetrated the line. That specific example is more of a blocking issue.

CJ had many times where he was putting in a 2nd and 3rd effort. He kept his feet moving a couple of times and pushed for a few more yards. I actually would've liked to have seen him cut back more on some of the zone plays. He's still one of those guys though that if the defense sleeps on him he'll take it to the house.

Minus a couple of Lockers off target throws, i don't think you could ask much more from the O. This was their 1st half as a unit together, knowing who the signal caller was going to be. '

I'm sure there is a huge difference between having Jake and Matt as the QB. Oline for example knows that Jake can easily scramble out so that forces WR to be on the heads up to run scramble. With Matt im sure WR's know to run routes very precisely and expect the ball because of the xperience hasselbeck brings.

NOt to mention, the timing is differnt. Jake's balls are a bit higher on the velocity (often too high) than hass'.

this made me chuckle in Climers article in the Tennessean today..

"He may be a work in progress but there’s no disputing that Locker is a football junkie. In the Titans’ media guide, players list their favorite books. What is Locker’s? The playbook, of course."
