Titans Defense is Back

Idk if we are back quite yet on D. We have a young D with plenty of budding stars, but I don't know if we are back in the top 10 yet. Give us another year to gel and get experience and we can be right back with the best of them.

 

That's as simple as putting Zach Brown in. Keep witherspoon in until it really starts hurting us though. He needs to some time to sit back and learn ala Keith Bulluck.

 

Choose your words wisely, surely we don't want a bounty investigation

 

Man once you got into the third quarter with the mix of second/third string that d looked like garbage though so the quality depth sure isnt deep. Lets pray for a relatively injury free season.

 

Didn't catch that one but did you see the Collin Mooney hit on that punt return that ended up being fumbled and recoverd by the Titans? Awesome.

I think I was most impressed by Morgan and Wimbley, they gave me hope that we can actually put some pressure on the qb. I thought Morgan was the most impressive, even though he didnt get the sacks, he was all over their QB. He also played against an actual starting offensive linemen unlike Wimbley. If he keeps up this kind of improvement, he will definitely deserve his 1st round draft status.

 

I'm cautiously optimistic. We have a very tough beginning to our season, and a very young, yet talented defense. Our biggest question mark at this point is definitely the secondary, and if we can continue to get pressure on QB's like we have that should help.

Also, here's to hoping that Zach Brown catches on quickly and can jump in and contribute this year in place of Witherspoon.

 

The starters look great, but after last nights game I don't think we have a ton of quality depth. Hopefully we can stay healthy. If we stay healthy I think the Defense will be a huge factor! I cant wait to watch us tear Brady up in week one!
