It was weird hearing them say "Matthew" instead of just "Matt".

I've always been really hard on Dilfer; I'll give him a lot more slack now

I always felt bad for Dilfer. Yeah, their stories were intertwined from way back. Sad tale. 2000 Super Bowl aside, I've never had anything against him. You can tell he's one of the nicer former players turned journalist.

I have all the respect in the world for trent. he has done a tone for football in the last few years. He mentioned once or twice about his elite 11 camp and until I watched it this year I had no clue how much that competition really means. 22 of the 32 nfl qbs have come through that camp and for several years now he has been the main guy behind it. If you have never seen it it is where he takes the top qb s in high school football and tries to mold them into nfl talent. He shares that same story every year at the elite 11 camp to shows the young guys that its not all fame and glory that being an NFL player takes hard work. He truely loves this game and for that I got mad respect for him.

Hated Dilfer as a QB but like him as a commentator. You can learn a lot from listening to that guy

Really glad to see that everyone else see,Ed to enjoy him as well. There were parts where I thought he may have gone on for too long about it but really made me happy to hear the good things about Matt. Although he doesn't believe Jake should be starting which to me showed a little homerism. But well deserved obviously.

    Props to Dilfer.

    Bigger props to Hass.

After dealing with selfish qbs in VY for the past 7 years it's refreshing to have two all around good guys under center.

I appreciated the Hass stuff from Dilfer but it drug a bit long especially when he started calling him Matthew. Got a bit uncomfortable there for a minute near the end. The mancrush mode needs to be toned down a bit. I get that you're appreciative of him and you think he's a great person and still has starter material. Now let's talk about Locker.

It's a story and Locker was long gone by then.

Amen to that. It's nice to not have to wonder if your QB's are putting in what it takes to be successful.
