Drew Bennett was also really tall and was notoriously known for dropping the easiest of all passes while catching the hardest. Thats not 1st round material!

My point is that he was super productive, which Wright will be. And as he adjusts to the speed of the league, he will find his place, much like Drew did.

So you'd rather have a Desean Jackson type? World class straight line speed, but can't run a route for chit, is soft over the middle?

First of all, let's assume that you are correct, and 4.6 is an accurate representation of Wright's top end speed (I don't think it is, but assuming arguendo).

You don't seem to understand how insignificant the difference between 4.3 and 4.6 is. The difference would matter in an actual football game maybe once a game or something.

The big thing that jumps out at me about Kendall, and makes me think Steve Smith, is how he is able to change direction effortlessly, with no loss of speed. THAT will serve his game much more than two tenths difference in the 40 would.

Now, would I rather he run a 4.3 flat and was six foot three inches tall with 36 inch arms? Sure. But there ain't too many of those out there.

Oh, and since you don't like the Jerry Rice point, here's another one...

    Wes Welker - 4.61

I think this is EXACTLY the type of WR Kendall can develop into. A guy you can move around the field, runs excellent routes, is surehanded, is great after the catch.

If he turns into a Wes Welker he'll be the best WR this organization has had in TN (assuming Kenny continues to flush his talent away).

For the 20th pick? That's a sucessful pick.

Is Kenny going to become a Randy Moss or Calvin Johnson guy that dominates the league for a decade? No. But then, you ain't gonna get a guy like that outside a top five pick, and even then, only once or twice a decade maybe.

Drew was an DECENT wr and I think Wright will be a DECENT wr. But that doesnt make him worth a 1st round pick!

Welker is only good b/c he has Brady as his qb. Put him on another team and he is just another average wr!

1 - no other WR for Tenn would have made that catch
2 - Wright not only made that catch, but turned out an extra 20 yards

Yeah clearly wright has the best hands on the team. That is most apparent after seeing him catch 10 balls lol:crazy: I know cook could have caught that ball for sure.
