One hell of a cliffhanger! The two minute window thing in this episode reminded me of Godfather II. Excellent writing, directing and acting!

Not feeling this season as much as past seasons but its still pretty good.

To me this show (actually any show now) really suffers from commercial breaks.

It's only 8 episodes though... combine it with next year's (which is still considered season 5) and it will likely be the best.

So far season 4 is the best, followed by season 3. Can easily change.

Damn and don't you hate the split season crap over years.

Let's be real. It's season 5 and season 6. They are just both abbreviated seasons.

I loved that part. Shows how truly badass Walt has become.

Does anyone think Walt was actually serious when he told Skylar he's done?

No way this season is the best. Jesse is essentially a sidenote, no Gus, just some Mike and only a rare appearance by Saul.. And Hank's "realization" seemed a bit convenient and clumsy to me.
Still a great show, but it feels like they've already thrown the ring back into Mt Doom..

    Here's my view...

Walt continues to get darker and darker every season. It's been even more noticeable how much darker he becomes each episode of this season.

I think he finally realized how greedy he had become when Skyler showed him the massive pile of money. He knows he's been ruining his family's life rather than helping them - which was originally his only reason for doing all of this.

I think he genuinely believes he's done and was being serious to Skyler. Everything looks to be getting back to normal - or close to it. Skyler smiles at Walt and it looks half-hearted, but it seems he may have a chance at reconciliation. Then Hank discovers that book... and everything sketchy about Walt makes sense to Hank now.

Once a protagonist, Walt quickly become's the 5th season's antagonist. As soon as things may be looking up for him, Hank finally figures it out.

I just can't wait to see how the 52nd b-day scene and the gun in the trunk plays out.

That was the absolute best and worst way to end part 1.

I have so many questions!! I don't want to wait a damn year!!

You think Hank confronts Walt right away?
