Is it CJ, the OL or Palmer?

The problem was identified as personnel by our coaches last season. They added Hutchinson. Problem not solved.

You can cut a turd sideways, longways and diagonal but its still a turd any way you slice it. The blame falls on the coaches. Players not playing? Coaches are responsible to get players here that do.

I don't buy into the "Manning sweepstakes" excuse. If the problem had been identified as the OL- then the coaches should strongly informed Adams that even Manning won't get it done behind that line.

 

My wish is for us to cut Chris Johnson, Euegen Amano, and Michael Griffin, by the next off season, that or move all 3 of them.

With the money that would free up we could sign anyone!

Soo thats over $18M we could save if we cut those scrubs. However there's about $10M on the books that we'd lose by cutting them.

I do remember reading there's an escape clause built into CJ's contract, so perhaps that $10M of dead money is really more like 5.

 

Amano And Griffin definitely need to get cut for that price. CJ still deserves all season to prove himself but if he doesn't improve by the end of the year, I agree that we need to move on.

 

I know that CJ should try harder and not hesitate when running the ball but you can not expect him to make chicken soup out of chicken sh!+

I love Roos but he totally pussed out on that Chandler Jones sack where Hightower scored the TD. He was right there to make the tackle and whiffed like a kicker. Dude is a monster and could have easily knocked the black off of Hightower but just nose-dived into the ground. Sh!+s weak!

And Palmer is not being creative enough when running the ball, nobody is gonna pick up yards the way our running game is going. The swing pass to Wright that almost ended up a safety was the dumbest playcall I have ever seen. EVER.

Again, I don't wanna overreact after this first game but our coaches need to do more to put our players in position to win. After we stopped New England to force a punt with the game 3-7, we turned around and had a 3 and out. That drive should have put us up and put us in position to play with the lead. Instead they took the momentum back and we never recovered. The game was over at that point. No one is immune from criticism but the brunt of the blame for this loss is on the entire coaching staff. True our players didn't execute well, block well or defend well but it is on our coaches to have them ready.

 

I think the biggest problem is that we suck.

 

What a fan! Yes we sucked very bad yesterday. But there are still 15 games left this season. Let's not overreact to 1 game.

 

Might as well put the cap space we have to use this year and prepare for next year.

Unless they somehow turn the ship around which I won't be holding my breath for.

 

If it were only that simple it would be easier to stomach it. In that case we could just join Browns fans as the laughing stocks of the league. The most troubling part about it is that we've actually got some damn good ballplayers on this team. That's why I blame coaches most because it's up to them to carry out the gameplan and adjust accordingly.

 

LOL the screen to Wright in the end zone was unbelievable, anyone whose ever played madden knows you're asking for trouble!
