If I was an Olineman on the Titans team, I wouldn't let CJ call me out like that. Infact, I was the coach, I'd sit him down and tell him to stop doing that to his team. It's pretty evident that CJ is much more happy with his stats than he is collecting W's. This O line was the same today as they have been all year. Garbage time yards shouldn't count as a stat you can hang your hat on and this game today was nothing but garbage.

he just credited them when he had a good game? Do you not understand what the statement means?

Sure I do. It means "When I do good, my OL did good; When I do bad, my OL did bad."

Even though he's giving them credit for this game, it's still a backhanded compliment. This is the second time I've heard him make that "I'm only as good as my OL" comment. And it was well publicized that he doesn't think he is part of the problem at all. What other conclusion is there to make? He thinks he's same old CJ2K, but it's his OL holding him back when he has a bad game.

Look, I freely admit he had a good game. He definitely looked more decisive. I truly hope he keeps it up. But its the guy's attitude that I will never ever come around on. I don't know whether he's really that arrogant or just dumb. Either way, the guy has a well-established history of selfish/idiotic comments and passing the buck.

He had a nice game. It could be taken as a backhanded compliment, but CJ is under such a microscrope, someone is going to be critical regardless on what he says.

The media is going to ask him a question. If he doesn't answer it, people are going to call him out for his professionalism and say how he got paid and now he isn't doing his job. He basically can say that it was all him or that the line had a good day. I think he chose the best answer. He credits the line, he is being positive, and he says there is more work to be done. He could have said that none of that matters when they lose, but that isn't really an honest answer for anyone. CJ isn't the kind of guy that is going to go on tirades. I think he did well in the game and at the mic...

He didn't seem especially happy while they were getting throttled, so I don't think it is fair to say that he only cares about his stats. I saw Ringer joking around and CJ had a stonecold look on his face.

I can agree with that. But IMO he brought a lot of that on himself. If he were even half-way competent at the PR game, I honestly believe he wouldn't be getting nearly the vitriol thrown his way that he is.

He says right after the guy gives them credit for a good performance run blocking. There goes your credibility when discussing CJ.
