I was pissed beyond belief at the no call on the fumble and everything that transpired after that play. But after coming to the realization this defense (or lack of) would prevent us from getting to the playoffs anyway, I'm finding myself pretty calm about the big picture. Jerry Gray continues to show his lack of defensive prowess, and our lack of playmakers on either side of the ball continues to rear its ugly head. At this point, it's hard to feel sorry for Bud Adams because he reaps what he sows, being so cheap and not going after big-name coaches and players and this is the product we've all come to expect. Maybe Munchak will get it figured out one day, but right now, this staff may be the most incompetent bunch in the entire NFL. Average players and below average coaching can only get you so far before you're totally exposed by a rookie QB.

Also, screw the refs, freaking bullsh!t

    Jerry Gray's philosophy:
3rd and mid-long = rush 3 drop 8, leaving the middle of the field wide open
Put Mouton on the field and let him cover their best WR
Let a rookie and an injury recoveree gash you for 10+ yard runs

I was actually calm when we were 1-4, but I'm not calm at all after this game, due to the fact that the refs screwed us over and the fact that we were gaining in the playoff picture with the Bears coming to town next week.

This loss really hurts right now. How we let the Colts come into Nashville and win is beyond me.

I hope they lose out the rest of the year, to be honest, so maybe they'll all get fired.

I told my wife's Step Dad - from Indy - that I wouldn't be surprised to see the Colts in the playoff hunt.

That said... this loss hurts... our division and our own house.

Gonna be some long seasons if we don't rectify this next year...

You and I are two peas in a pod... but something tells me we aren't the only fans that feel this way. :coltsblow:

    sigh....

What can Bud or we expect when he goes out and hires a guy as the head coach who wasn't qualified? Much had never been anything other than a line coach and your going to make him the head coach. Perhaps if Buddy had opened his pocket book a little bit instead of being his cheap ass old self and brought in a qualified coach things would be going better for us.

Jerry Gray is a joke, plain and simple. I don't know if I can stand watching this sorry excuse for a defense. There are college teams that would run all over this D. However, we won't fire him because were the Titans and that is just something we won't do.

I have said it before that this team has some talented players. They just don't seem to have any motivation or desire to go out and pull off a win. I put this all on the coaching staff, but mostly our defense. As a coach once told me anyone can play offense. Offense is rewarding to itself when you score. On the other hand defensive players have to have heart and desire for whatever reason to defend 10 yards of grass at the end of the field. Our guys just don't seem to have that heart.

As far as the refs go, the calls were terrible but we had plenty of chances to pull a win off here and blew it. I don't blame anyone but our coaching staff.

I don't know if I can watch any more of the games this season with Gray still coaching our D... that probably makes me a bad fan.

If you can't score more than 13 points with a defense like ours, you're going to lose. I saw this coming from a mile away. The only way we would have won that game is if CJ would have blown up like he did last week. That's the only reason we beat the Bills. Take away a couple of fortunate plays and we're 1-7. We're bad, and with Hass at QB we won't be able to score enough points to beat any decent team. This team is going nowhere in a hurry.

You have to put up more than 13 points against the Colts. Say what you want about Gray, but for whatever reason, something is causing our guys to get turnovers at key points in the game. If that fumble had been called correctly, the Colts would have only had 13 points and these topics would not exist.

I am not saying Gray is a good DC, but this loss was not on him today. It was all these damn penalties that came at the wrong time and the fact we only put up 13 points. We have too many weapons for that.
