I think it's safe to say that if anyone here subscribed to fake fanhood/bandwagoning they'd have picked a lot better of a team than the GD Tennessee Titans. You'd have to be pretty real dumb to pick this sorry organization if you can't deal with losing.

That's the point that's being constantly missed by some. People aren't so pissed and giving up going to the games simply because we're losing. It's about the state and direction of the franchise and finally saying "enough is enough... you're going to have to actually earn my hard-earned dollars from now on".

We could do a heck of a lot worse:
    1. Cleveland
    2. Kansas City
    3. Buffalo
    4. Oakland
    5. San Diego
    6. Arizona
    7. Miami
    8. Jacksonville
    9. Carolina
    10. Detroit

This team has done plenty of things I didn't like in the past, like basically spitting in McNairs face and sending him on the first train out of town. Drafting VY, I could keep going but there's little point. I could have said, ya know what? Screw this team and its dumb decisions, I'm out. Haven't said it, never will. My dad raised me an Oilers fan, I couldn't even begin to think of following another team.

I love the Titans and that's why moves like keeping Munch and listening to him defend idiots like Gray make me so mad. Hell, my wife and I have even kicked around the idea of moving to the Nashville area because we like it out there so much and I'd be able to go to all the home games instead of just going out there once a year. But our careers and family keep us here for now.

I know sometime around July I'll crack and buy my usual sideline gear, get my Ayers and Brown jerseys if I can find em and schedule my trip to Nashville, because I love my team that much. It's like having a bad lover you just can't get out of your life.

Of course we could. That wasn't my point though. Just because there are worse organizations than us doesn't mean we aren't sorry. Things have gotten pretty bad when you have to say "Well, at least we aren't the Cleveland Browns or Oakland Raiders".

Although I'm not so sure I'd automatically count some of those teams as worse off than us. Maybe historically they are. But I'd put a few of those teams ahead of us in the "how close are you to a championship" spectrum.

And you know what else I just realized about your list?

    Cleveland- GM fired. HC fired.
Kansas City- HC fired. GM may be fired.
    Buffalo- HC fired.
Oakland- No changes. Destined to be basement dwellers.
San Diego- HC fired. GM fired. And they're a better team than us to begin with.
    Arizona- HC fired. GM fired.
Miami- No changes. A better team on a better trajectory than us IMO (despite the beatdown).
Jacksonville- GM fired. HC most likely to be fired by new GM.
Carolina- GM fired. HC status up in the air.
Detroit- GM may be fired. HC likely safe

    and then we have...
our beloved Tennessee Titans- GM safe. HC safe. "Thank you sir, may I have another?!?"

My point? Most other very bad teams are actually acknowledging that they are bad and making a REAL attempt to fix it. We're content to just try more of the same and cross our fingers for different results.

Don't do it. Bud is literally never going to get the message if fans constantly come crawling back every year, cash in hand.

Wow! Hadn't looked at it like that. I was surprised about Shurmur getting canned. The Browns played SEVERAL good teams close until the end. I think they are a WR and TE away from being good.

There are plenty of coaches out there right now that are a lot better than Munch. So I think it was the wrong move to keep him around. He's a terrible HC. I don't see any reason to keep him. He provides nothing for the team.

Besides, that's not how it works. If someone isn't doing their job, they get canned. THEN you replace them. You don't stick with one of the worst coaches in the league just because there isn't an ex-Oiler/Titan available for the position.
