Speaking of Madden, I guess Megatron broke "The Curse"

He got hurt early in the season and just played through it. The curse is still intact but it gave the Lions a break because they already had the 'Curse of Bobby Lane' on them.

    eh

A few people have broken the curse to a degree, but Megatron is on the Lions so he never really had a fair chance.

Just because you make the playoffs once doesn't mean you're a keeper.

    Munch is not a keeper.

I didnt mean once, I mean consistently.

We have him next season. Him succeeding wouldnt make me unhappy in any way, would save us anymore rebuilding time.

    Even if he is ugly.

If Munch somehow pulled his own head out of his "Titan" and had a productive team on the field ever week next year, playoffs or not, I'd be for keeping him. I'm with you, kinda tired of the rebuilding thing.

Of all the positions I'd spend money on in FA WR would be top of my list. I'm tired of drafting duds or waiting years for them to develop. You can get pretty good players at most other positions (at a lower bust %) and get production from them early. For example if we take an OG in the first three rounds that guy will be one of the top OGs in the draft and could be inserted from day one. As an example, we drafted Bell in the 5th round and because of injury he played his rookie season and played well. Many teams have inserted OGs as rookies this year including the Texans and Falcons (two of thsoe guys were college Cs). But, make sure you draft one early enough they can be counted on to be decent. Best bet IMO is to get a really good C and insert him at OG to start or get a really good OG that can play C. I really like the kid from Wisconsin.

SS would be really high on my list and again we have a situation were it seemd hard to find one in the draft without using a high pick. Meanwhile, FA Ss usually don't dissapoint and generally end up being decent players.
