I might have jumped the gun on picking him over Peterson. Dang close though. Definitely over Claiborne though.

Dee Millner would be a great pick up...and guys gotta remember, if the DB's can cover for 1 more second per play, the D-line would look a lot better as well.

Don't get it twisted...Millner is a top notch talent and contrary to the popular belief on this board, CB is a bigger need than OG or DE. If Millner is there at 10, it is no way this team won't take him. However I would not trade up for him. But a top cover guy on the outside, moving Verner to the nickel and Sensabaugh to the dime would make the DL better and do wonders for the defense.

How is it a bigger need than RG? We have 3 safties, an outside corner and nickle and dime corners. A position where there is no player is a bigger need that an upgrade

Tell me you don't believe that there is no one on the roster capable of playing RG? Of course the Titans will line up with a RG next year, so CB is a bigger need because it's a more valuable position. Getting an elite CB outweighs the need for an elite RG on every team in the NFL. I promise you, every team in the NFL would trade an All Pro RG for an All Pro CB straight up every day.

Overvaluing for a position of need is death in the NFL. There is no RG in the NFL draft worthy of a pick at 10 (and I love Warmack and Cooper).

I do agree there is no way we pass on Milliner if he falls to us. However, a corner's value is really subjective and depends on the scheme being run. If you run mainly cover 2, who cares; if you run man corners are invaluable. A G's value may be lower but will not fluctuate as much depending on scheme. If we draft Milliner and play him 7 yards off like last year it will be a complete waste of a pick.

pretty sure you need to subtract 4-5M from taht 10M for the rookies so we probably have about 5-6M left to play with....but you don't know if mgmt plans on carrying that 5-6 over to next season as well.

A lot of options with the salary cap.

I dont want milliner b/c with sabans scheme, he does not require his cornerbacks to back pedal. He doesnt teach them that way. He has them play up tight and just run with the WR which relys on his dline getting pressure quick.
