14 GS, 3,000 yards, 18 TD 12 INT 60% completion, in my opinion, are numbers he has to hit. Those aren't necessarily lofty, but they would be the result of consistent playing and smart decisions.

    Thoughts?

    16 games started
    3,000+ yards
    <15 TDs
    >15 INTs
    ~60% Comp%

    .......and a playoff berth

I agree with those numbers. I was thinking more along the lines of 3,000+ yards, 20+ TDs, and no more than 12 INTs.

The 3,000 yard, 18 TD, 12 INT, 60% completion percentage would basically be a clone of Hasselbeck's 2011 stats, but the difference would be Locker's ability to use his legs, so I'd take it.

I'm not necessarily concerned with specific stats. I just want him to pass the eyeball test. I want to see his overall awareness improve (by a lot) and he can't keep making the same mistakes over and over. At this point I'm not very confident he could lead us past the first round of the playoffs, much less to a Super Bowl.

Barring another major injury, he really has no excuses in 2013. If he doesn't make some serious strides in his game I'm over him. On to the next guy..... (sigh)

For me to continue backing Jake Locker I have to see two things, and one of them isn't stats.

I first must see better pocket awareness.

The second thing is durability. If this kid is always hurt (like he has been) he's a waste of all our time.

If I can see those two things, I'll be good. I personally don't give a flip about anything but wins, all the stats in the worst mean nothing if youre sitting at home January watching everybody else play. (See CJ2K) 2006-yards is nice, but a playoff birth is way better.

Exactly, if we can get Hasselbecks 2011 performance, w/ Lockers running ability.. we'll be set.

My biggest thing with Locker is I want to see consistency.

In other news, Colin McCarthy just ruptured his right lung burping after he drank some cold soda.

TitansWillWin2 will stop by to give his prognosis.

Well, production stats have to take into account the rest of the team, don't they? If the blockers can't block, the center can't center, the line can't hold and the receivers can't receive, then he's toast, just like he has been the last two years. He can't play all positions. If the team is ready and he still doesn't produce, then he will have to move on. Only time will tell. Personally, I'm very optimistic that he can do the job. Being negative about anything is totally unproductive and so I choose the opposite.

Yeah the stats really don't peak my attention, unless it's wins.

Honestly, I just want to see improvement in his decision making. Right now it just seems like the game is way too fast for Locker. There were many times when he didn't know when to tuck it in and run, so he would run, stop, run, stop, run, stop and then throw a curve ball. He is still learning, so I will give him a pass on that part of his game.

It should be extremely interesting to see how he handles the pressure this upcoming year.
