    day 2: B

They went heavy at WR in the middle of the draft, so hopefully one of them will turn out to be a steal and another will be a contributor. Johnson has potential at DT. Ford is a small school DE with pass rush ability. Smith is a solid CB. And they got good, needed depth on the interior OLine.

In the end, Griffin was the only "name" player we got so the draft grade will be low from the "experts". But it will take time to see just how good it really was.

My disappointment was not addressing the DE position earlier today. You never know if there was value there or not yesterday but I thought the Titans could have packaged some of today's picks and moved up to get a higher-rated DE in the early fourth.

I really hope they did their homework. I know Jeff Fisher is a great coach so maybe he had his hands in on the picking. This was not the Draft that I thought it was going to be. Maybe they know something we don't and that is why they get the big bucks and I don't. To me I give it a high D or a low C

I'll give a grade on the off-season (free agency and draft combined).

    C-

We had the 30th ranked run defense in the NFL last year and we have added one safety of note. How is it going to improve??????

Without fixing the Run D we will not be in the playoffs.

Just give it some time...we have a genius running our Defense.

Me too Jeff. Especially with Charles Johnson there in the 3rd. He looked like a guy who could provide run and pass rush support.

But maybe they wanted just a pass rush specialist....so there's Ford. Now for the run, who helps at RDE?

I'm suprised we took 3 WR's. I can see how they could all help though....and it makes you wonder if they really don't think much of our current WR's.

Johnson has nice potential, I'm fine with that in the 5th.

Otto seemed kinda odd, but maybe he can turn out to be a better swing tackle than Wand or Loper. Maybe if he bulks up some he can play OG too.

Harris is a very nice pick, love it.

    I'll gibe day 2 a B-, and the whole draft a C.

Kiper just called us the losers of the draft :blah2:

Why is everyone jumping on our guys.............

Why is everyone jumping on the rookies for they have not even been drafted a day and guys are wanting to call this horrible??? That doesnt make any sense to me. No one knows how any body who was drafted in the last two days are gonna turn out not Kiper(aka;Vulture man) salsbury, meril (the idiot hoge) or anyone. Lets welcome these boys to the team and lets get things started the right way with the newest members of the TITANS. I really like Michael Griffin he will make a solid piece into last years 32 ranked defense. Chris Davis from FSU looks like he could have some solid impact with VY like I said no one knows how anyone of these people are gonna pan out till they have a chance to play. I think it was a pretty solid draft they got pretty quality at most of the need positions but lets just see what happens in the future then we can have a better opinon.

We didn't have a bad draft. If anything it was a good draft because we filled our needs. This year we had too many needs though. And Miami drafting Ginn early and Pac-man getting suspended didn't help either. Mike Reinfeldt did the best he could. We should be happy that we have a new Safety and Lendale has somebody to help him out. Even if Henry was drafted too early.

IMO there were two major question marks.

One, can Henry actually use his tremendous physical skills and become a quality RB or is he just a track guy?
Anyone remember Dan Alexander? 6'0, 250 pounds, sprinter speed? He is a Nashville Cat and never amounted to much at all in the NFL as a RB.

Two, will passing on Charles Johnson end up being a moronic move? Charles Johnson wouldn't completely solve our DE problems but if this guy turns out to be anything like another Georgia Bull Dog, Charles Grant and Williams doesn't pan out as at least a #2 WR the pick will go down as another big screwup. Demarkus Taylor or Ray McDonald at DT and Jonathan Wade were other players that might have made more sense in the 3rd IMO.
