1 week in, and the PS3 has frustrated me more than the 360 did in 1 year.

    It was just a pro. The wireless attachment for the 360 was 100$+ the router that would have ran a total of 150$ together. I figured in the end i could get a 50$ router from ebay and be good to go, about 100 dollars cheaper.

    I agree with that.I can't speak for the cheaper models but after reading reviews on Amazon I bought a more expensive Netgear without breaking the bank.

    Have a PC,Laptop & a 360 running on it & at times another laptop.9 months of heavy use & it's never dropped a connection yet.Even works at the top of the garden.

    I wouldn't have a Belkin given to me after previous nightmares.

    I went with the D-Link WBR-2310. Supposed to be good for the ps3. Got it for under 50 bucks.
    I almost bought a 12$ netgear that I hear works fine too. But internet connection seems to be a huge problem with the PS3. So many stories of people losing connection every 5-10 minutes. The built in wi-fi sucks I guess.

    I don't care though. I'll run a cord, and get better connection if I have to. Doesnt bother me any.

    The Wi-Fi is fine. People have different experiences, because their are a lot of variables for the connection.

    i don't know, i've had a ps3 since about august, the only time i lost connection was when my dog chewed through the cable on my router...

    Like I have said, I've had one for almost year and a half and never lost connection. And the wireless is as far away from the PS3 that you can get in our house.

    I'm with Charter. Got my router in today. It's hooked up, but havent tried the ps3 yet. Will tomorrow after work probably.
