Who do you think when you think elite QBs from college?

 

Bryce Petty, Derek Carr, David Fales, Manziel, Murray, Mariota...

Guys that don't suck?

McCarron = Game manager. No one gives a sh*t if you can throw check downs 4 times a game to wide open targets while having 2 minutes to throw.

Mettenburger = sucks.

James Franklin = Generic version of the elite qbs of the same style.

 

Which elite QBs did FSU face as a comparison then?

 

Auburn doesn't have an elite QB. Hell, Auburn doesn't even have a QB. They have a DB that got kicked off of Georgia for being a thug and now plays RB in the QB position.

 

I dont think anyone should have expected him to. If Saban has proven anything, he has proven that he knows how to play the strategy game. He was holding all the cards, he didnt have to do anything but let everyone hang for a little while while the numbers on the contract got right to sign.

 

I like how universities and coaches just out right lie during silly season. "Nooo, we never talked about any sort of deal" .. "I never interviewed for any job" .. and the media just lets them get away with it. I guess it's not THAT big of a deal but it's still dishonest and a little insulting.

 

Does that not make them all that more impressive? They putting up 50 points a game without throwing the ball.
