8-8 won't be far from playoffs in this divison/conference next year.
Oh, and McCarron thought he was a first round pick this year
Yea and he woulda SUCKED
If you see a franchise guy that will lead your team for the next 10+ year you trade up and go get him.
This middle of the road Titans stuff won't work anymore.
We always draft in the teens. We are always average.
If somebody like Luck or Newton is up there you go get him.
If we finish 8-8 and there are still questions about Locker this franchise better not sit idle at 10-16 and wait for someone.
You need a QB in this league.
I don't disagree with you on that, but in reality, the chance of the Titans trading up for a top QB are pretty slim. But even if we did trade up for a top QB, is there any reason to let Locker walk if he would agree to a cheap short term deal? There is no guarantee that the 1st rd QB would work out (see VY, maybe locker) and it may be better to let them develop some 1st as well. OR maybe the Titans try to trade up, but can't find any partners ... then they will be glad they at least kept Locker and not Whitehurst/Mett/whoever. Also, if Locker was a top 15 QB and we resigned him to a cheap deal, then we may be able to trade him once we figure out our QB situation. Teams seem willing to give up a lot for a little when it comes to QBs.
Basically a cheap locker would be good insurance
Why don't you get a Mariota jersey then and start a Mariota fan site?
Mariota ain't Newton.
Better than Winston
yea exactly what I been sayin and if his first year he improves again then I give him the 4-6 year extension
Is he? Cause the heisman voters, undefeated season, and national title tell me other wise.
Like usual Oregon got squished when they had to play NFL caliber lines with Stanford and their hyped Qbs vanished under fire.
