at this point I wouldn't argue with the first three rounds being cornerbacks........

but I feel an edge rusher has to come in at some point too - we just simply aren't getting to the qb, which if we had the cbs, wouldn't be as big a problem as it is....

both are screwing each over equally -- and we all know dodd's situation. so we're 2 years behind in replacing rak and 91 now.....

We need playmakers at every level of the defense.

Agreed, especially for us right now. We've invested in the secondary already, we need pass rush badly.

I'd like to see us at very least get another 5 technique DL to push the pocket from the middle, and an edge rusher that can replace Rak in particular in the early rounds. Rak just doesn't seem to have anything coming off the edge, but also our DL - other than Casey - has been completely invisible.

I don't know that I've noticed Jones, Klug, or any of the rest of that group do a single thing this season.

LOL @ thinking 6 round picks and a PR is investing in the secondary.

A 1st round corner in 2017, 3rd round safety in 2016, and a high priced FA corner and safety in 2017. I'd say that's investing.

I really don't think the secondary has been the problem with our pass D this year, it's the pass rush that's been abysmal. We had to bring the blitz hard against the Colts to get close to Brisset, and haven't had any success with a 4 man rush.

Any NFL QB who can sit back and wait for guys to get open is going to have success. You have to pressure the QB and move him at very least.

We need to go back to the 4-3 and not worry about finding a NT that doesn’t exist.

3-4 type players are becoming harder to come by.

We've been in the 3-4 since 2012, right?

We have acquired 0 3-4 front defenders in that time. We're still running the 3-4 with 4-3 guys. It's ridiculous.

I know I'm going to get grief for this one, but it's just something I was thinking about..

I agree with the above, but there is one guy, if he comes out, ( he's a Jr but more than likely will go pro now), no one should overlook. LT Orlando Brown from OU. 6'8, 345, strong, quick, with great hands. He would be an anchor to protect Mariota for years, plus, a huge blocker for Murray and Henry. We could.move Lewan to the right side, and we'd have the best Tackles in the game.

He'll go to high for us to get, but it would be nice to bolster our OL even more.
