28 Days Later was a very good flick, by one of my favorite recent writers, Alex Garland. This looks very promising as well. My man Idris Elba from The Wire looks like he could have a good role as well (he's the general dude). Will be seeing this.

    Stringer Bell!
Man I love The Wire.. next to Deadwood (RIP) it's my fave HBO show. Just saw last night that the final season will run at year's end. After an amazing season 4 there is some serious unfinished biz.
I get choked up just thinking about what they did to Bodie. sniff sniff

BTW, the mother of all apocalyptic plague stories Matheson's "I Am Legend" comes to theaters again (Last Man on Earth, Omega Man) this Christmas and unfortunately it looks like Hollywood has yet again dropped the ball. They cast f'n Will Smith as Neville and the script is a total turdlet. I Am Legend as written could be one of the greatest horror flicks of all time and it's damn shame it'll probably end up looking more like I Robot..

    Two things...

The Wire is my favorite TV show or movie ever, so I can relate. Season 5, I am confident, will be spectacular; it truely amazing how the writers and cast elevate their game EVERY single season. Should be a grand finale.

I Am Legend is one of my fav. books. I too have been losely following this, and am disapointed to hear how badly the pre-production is going. In fairness, this would be very difficult to adapt to the big screen IMO.
