I always preferred LenDale White to Chris Johnson. I like smashmouth running backs. Always hated CJ -2yards.

    Looking forward to Henry now.

I wanted billings when he was still there and we took Dodd. Then billings fell like a brick, so what do I know haha.

2003 had to be the worst draft in Titans history. They draft Andre Woolfolk in the first and Tyrone Calico in the second. Then get Jeff Fisher's all-time favorite player Donnie Nickey later on.

It doesn't mean that we made the wrong pick though

When he was running for 2k yards it was hard not to like CJ. IMO 2 things happened to CJ. He got hit really damned hard trying to break a tackle and ended up hurt and then he signed a really huge extension. The combination made CJ comfortable and it was so easy for him to just drop to the ground when touched to avoid taking another huge hit. Now that his contract is gone and he is fighting to play, he is back to taking hits and pushing for yards.

Go back to 1995 and look. How many second rounders have worked out well? How many third rounders. Success rates beyond the first round are low and drop by round.

Going back to 1995 the only stars I can think of from the second round are:

    Roos
    Samari Rolle

    That's it over 20 YEARS.

There wore some decent players who did okay but did not stick:

    John Thornton
    Tank Williams
    André Dyson
The DE from Alabama whose name I forget

    There may be more.

Other bad second rounders not mentioned include:

    Bryant Mix
    Anthony Cook
    Joey Kent
    Jason Layman
    Travis Laboy

Out of the three we took this year we will be lucky if one lasts beyond his rookie deal and only one of the other two is a complete bust.
