Incomplete pass. We were running the ball pretty good all game, I'm not opposed to passing, but not out of shotgun. I hate Whiz, horrible play caller.

I was following our short yardage play calling early in the season and it was crazy how few times we actually ran the ball in those short yardage spots.

    Don't understand the call.

We have Greene and Battle back there who can't break long runs and are best in these situations.

What was our big fact we sold ourselves on when we got Greene?? 17-17 on third and one's or something?

Yea not sure about the playcalling. Met and Wrs didn't do us much good this game either unfortunately.

We had success running the ball? I forgot our leading RB avg 3.4 yards is considered having success. I think it's safe to say that CJ wasn't the problem. It was and still is our O-Line.

I don't think the play call was that bad. We really did have a guy wide open that would've picked up the 1st. Mett was just under pressure. Good play call, bad execution.

We did try to use the power run game early on (don't you remember the fumble at the 1/2 yard line?) Maybe we should've tried a pass from shot gun then.

Also @Gut For your argument about Ryan. Matt Ryan is still playing well this season. His qb rating is almost 95. He is just on a sorry team. However he still looks very good!

Bajakian at Tennessee does the same thing.

    3rd and short?

    Better line up in shotgun...

I see it every week in CFB. Lining up and running for a yard is a lost art.

Really only see Alabama, UGA, Arkansas and a few others just lining up and running the damn ball in short yardage situations.

Everyone else is running read options and draws out of shotgun or 4 and 5 WR sets to pick up a yard.

I'm not even opposed to a read option, because at least there's two options! But lining up in shotgun with a statue at QB doesnt really give the defense that much of a headache. Run the same play they ran, but out of a base 3x2 set under centered, that's all I'm saying.
