This might be the worst 53 man roster in the NFL.

We have no talent and our best player is a LT with 6 starts under him.

Huh? OL get injured a LOT!!! And to be 1 deep at OT is terrible.

Coffman SHOULD be on this team as he has as good hands as anyone on the team and is an excellent pass catching TE which we seem to favor in this offense. Supernaw has been up and down in games but CStevens was the guy to not make this roster.

We aren't gonna play 8 DL in a game for 3 starting spots.

And the fact they aren't looking at OL help via waiver wire is disturbing!

Not sure Supernaw rates as a 'playmaker.' How do you rate Stevens who IMO had fairly poor showings in pre-season games as a blocker (cuz all of our other TE's are better pass catchers)?

In case our spotty OL starts getting our QB's knocked out of games like they did last year (all our QB's were knocked out of a game at least once). And now we have even LESS depth on OL.....

Clearly the Titans think OL is fine in both quality and #'s. Meanwhile we needed to TRADE for another RB with Cobb sitting out half the season???

If McCluster and Andrews are not up to being the 2nd and 3rd RB's, why are they here? McCluster has shown a spark in pre-season and Andrews looks like he needs MORE playing time, not less. So now we are getting West...until when? Is this until week 6 when we will have 6 RB's (including Fowler)? 5 RB's to play one spot? LOL So which of these guys gets cut? The 2nd rnd pick (Sankey), the 5th rnd pick we just got (Cobb), the player who has played very well in pre-season and one of the best transformations from last year (Andrews), the guy we just traded for (West), or the guy who will be a returner/backup RB/backup WR and we pay a lot of money for (McCluster), or our 4th rnd draft pick and only FB on the team who has done exactly what's been asked of him?

And now we are dangerously thin at OLB for a bit. Mount is the ONLY OLB who will know the D Sunday to backup Orakpo AND Morgan. Bass will take a while to learn the D. At least Johnson should be playing ST right away and we actually have an experienced backup at ILB.

We better HOPE we don't lose a starting OT or OLB or we are in big trouble. Or maybe that's the strategy for tanking another season?

Or maybe they think one of our TE's or RB's can backup those positions!!!

I think a te or a d lineman will be first to get cut. I think we need 1 more o lineman and another olb. They have to much invested in the running backs to let any of them go imo.

There are a myriad of holes in the data you are using. First, this is for only players put on IR, NOT for players who get hurt and miss games here and there so this is fairly useless to our discussion.

Second, the guy can't find the source for one of the 3 years of data he used? He made up what he didvided position groups by from guessing teams used on average 2.33 WR's per play? Adding guesses to statistical numbers throws credibility out the window.

The other major factor not entered into the context of this conversation is how important each position is to a team. Many teams overcome the loss of their starting RB due to injury as RB is one of the easiest positions to reload. I don't need to tell you the difference of when you lose your LT and you don't have a quality backup there. Is the plan to sign someone off the street while we hang onto 5 TE's a 6 RB's?

Every position needs to be at least 2 deep and for very important positions, your backup player had better be pretty solid (QB, LT, OLB, etc). We are VERY thin AND not deep at some of those positions while we are trying to be 5 deep at a position we don't need to be.

And your injury data is where exactly? And if OL get more significant injuries than others, they should also get more IR designations than others.

And we've carried at most 9 OL since at least 2009. Are you telling me that 1 backup who will never see the field is going to make the difference?

We also used to have 10 DL for 4 spots. So now you're complaining that we're keeping 8 for 3 spots??

Yeah we're carrying many TEs and few WR, but maybe they want to use some of those TEs at the inside receiver positions. That would certainly be the kind of creativity that posters on this site have complained about a lack of.
