Adrian Peterson

I don't think he's a feature back anymore at his current age. Could use him to give Zeke more of a break instead of running him into the ground like they did with Murray. Keeps him fresh throughout the season.

 

I still view him as any every down back, he should wait for a starting opportunity, I think he's still got it.

I think Peterson still has some gas left in the tank... But will and team bring him in to be a feature back and pay him like a feature back? I think he'll get opportunities in a multiback situation for not a lot of money. That may be hard to swallow for a guy that's used to carrying the team and being one of the highest paid backs in the league.

 

For every comeback season, there are 5 formerly great RBs that wash out and never return to NFL form. And Gore was 33 yards short of 1,000 in 2015, and had 1000 every year prior besides his rookie year, and one other. He was never completely ineffective.

And Gore is a separate situation, he wasn't forced to take a whole year of vacation either.

 

I think Peterson will end up a NYG.

Although Oakland is apparently interested in him.

I can see him going there and being pretty decent. Good young QB and WR should help.
