I was thinkin about the schools paul williams and joel filani came from. They came from schools that texas played in the past.

Here is what somebody posted in another titans forum about them both.....

I play football at SMU . We played Tech last year, and Joe Filani was there go to guy. He was their biggest receiver, had great hands, and was very physical. I watched him throughout the rest of the year and he continued to be Tech's man as they play teams like Texas and Oklahoma.

I talked to a few cornerbacks , and all of them remembered how good Filani was. Once we started talking about the titans draft, they all said as good as Filani was, they remembered Paul Williams being even bigger and faster, as we played fresno state a few years back. I think these two guys could be something great.

As far as Chris Davis goes, I have confidence in anyone that comes out of florida state as the leading receiver. That is a program with the best athletes in Florida, which to me is the state that produces the best athletes.

they played texas, so im thinkin vince young seen something in both of them and he is the one that gave the heads up on them. We drafted players that vince young played with or played against (micheal griffin played at texas of course). I think titans got somethin here!!!! people have nothin but good things to say about them both. not to mention they got ahmard hall from texas and we got bo scaife from texas, they are building around vince, the public just dont see it. Those devious titans Lolol.

Even though miami hurricanes program has the programs that puts out the best athletes, not florida state.

i dont know if Vince gave the heads up, but i have heard filani was clutch in college, and paul williams was under the radar, i like both the picks, i loved our draft, i think Michael griffin was our biggest mistake, but even drafting him wasnt bad....

Yeah but qb's always have these wideouts they would love to throw to. I think vince seen them produce in college.

And micheal griffin wasnt a mistake, what makes you think he was??? I seen him play ohio state and usc and griffin made some amazing plays. I personally think he was the best safety in the nation for 2 years.

i love michael griffin, i didnt mean he was a mistake in the sense that he sux, i just meant we drafted him as a CB, and not a FS, if we are going to draft him, play him at FS, dont bury him under the depth chart...overall i thought that was our biggest fault, even tho it is still going to benefit the team..alot of people think we only drafted him because we were going to make a deal with the chargers..
