By my estimation AH's #1 suitor are the Bucs. They started with the most cap room (bout 41mil), cut a bunch of guys to get around 50mil+ and everyone got another 4mil from the cap going up. They might have close to 60mil in cap ROOM. They can afford to sign the youngest/best players available. However, do they want to spend gigantic bucks on a guy who'll be 28 and command a large chunk of their cap...when they just re-signed Sims and have more glaring issues at the moment.

The Cards are his next likely suitor. Assuming they can get Warner and Boldin back and happy...adding AH could be the piece de la resistance! They have the 2nd most cap room. However, with Warner wanting 14-16mil/yr AND Boldin wanting Fitzgerald type money...there huge cap space will be eaten up quickly. Can they blow 35-36mil on 3 players??? That would be cutting it close!

Titans are in the same boat. Signing AH to a 15-16mil/yr contract would tie up a gigantic portion of our available cap space and we have other issues to address.

After the above teams, I find it hard to conceive of another team that could sign him to 15-16mil/yr and have enough cap space for anything else.

He can mention the Giants or Skins all he likes, but they don't have the cap room! I'm not so sure AH becomes the highest paid D player. I don't see anyone but the Bucs shelling out gigantic money. If he doesn't go there, I'd say we have a good shot at re-signing him.

This stuff is coming from John Clayton who is probably talking to Haynesworth's agent. So this contact stuff can be a lot of agent-talk.
