I used to cover Alcoa High School football for the local paper. Sounds like some of their games. They never scored that many in one quarter, but they did have some ridiculous 50 and 60 point blowouts.

Yeah. I mention high school games while speaking against people bashing the Pats. I hate the pats, but if you played high school football, you know how fun it was to run the score up on the opponents, and all teams (that could) did it.

my HS use to put up points like that. We never has a starter playing after the 1st half. My senior year we won the ESPN nation champ for HS.

If you were on the team and made your times you would get a chance to play. It was the coaches rules. I remember one home coming this guy who was probably 5'6" and maybe 140 was playing S got an INT was running all over the place. The crowed errupted. Was pretty funny. The only points we gave up came in the 4th and the RB ran through one of my buddies. Was so funny. He never lived it down ....

I understand if the backups come in and keep scoring, but if you're up by more than 30 at half, the starters should never see the field again. I don't care what level it's at.
