"A QB needs a supporting cast to win"

I literally said that like 5 hours ago. Wow.

Why do so many people hate greatness? The cheating/"Deflate Gate" thing hardly matters anymore, as the Patriots just continue winning. And Brady found a way last year without his best receiver (Gronk). Sports are one of the few occupational venues that are completely judged based solely on performance (sales being another one). Brady wasn't placed on the mountain top by his rich dad or the CEO he did sexual favors for. He's just the best at what he does and nobody can argue that. Give the man his props.

Belichick also coached in the same era as the salary cap. None of the other coaches had to deal with the roster turnover that he has to deal with. It'll be interesting to see the kind of roster turnover that the other coaches had to deal with between super bowl victories. Other than Tom Brady, only Vince Wilfork has been there for the earlier super bowl and latter super bowl victories.

I'm not even going to reply to how idiotic it is to talk about the number of HOFers a QB who is STILL PLAYING teamed up with.

Are people really stupid enough to be impressed by this?

The QB isn't effected by any other players on the team? Not even QB rating in the playoffs?
That is not also a stat the falls under "you can control what you can control"?

Don't people make the argument that Montana isn't the best because he had Rice?
Why don't I get to say that jordy Nelson is better than Deion branch?

Who had the better OL between Rodgers and Brady?
Who had the better blocking RB?
Which offense was better tailored to the style of QB since Rodgers mobility likely gets treated a little different than cinder block feet Brady?
Which defenses that each went against ranked better? Both in secondary and front 7?

Seems like your stat is just as cherry picked and pointless as mine although people use team success when arguing GOAT QB and only you use playoff QB rating.

That's impossible. His defense handed him all of his success.
I already proved he's not even as good as Alex smith or Mark Sanchez.

That was a respond back to when people were saying Brady had more HoF in his squad than Montana.

So how many HoF would you guess he played with?

Also, If someone wanted to build an argument for Montana they'd have to lean on the quality of competition Montana had to face in the 80s compared to the dreck we're seeing out there today. In the NFC in the 80s you had the Redskins coached by HOFer Gibbs, the Giants coached by HOFer Parcells, arguably the best defense of all time in the 85 Bears, etc. Just to make it to the SB in the 80s in the NFC you had to knock off HOF coaches. There aren't teams and organizations like those anymore due to free agency.

Stats wise, if you look at the top 20 of all time in QB rating they are all players that played the majority of their careers in the 2000s when the rule changes tilted to greatly benefit the passing game. The only two guys in the top 10 that aren't from that era are Montana at 5 and Young.

You could then argue that Seattle and Atlanta handed Brady two rings with outright stupidity at the end of their games.

But the ledger shows that Brady has five rings while Montana only has four. And you could also argue that Brady has elevated a cast without any HOF offensive players around him to Super Bowl champions.
