The only hope Oregon has for being ranked above Florida in that scenario would be if Stanford loses this week and they beat Oregon st. That gives them an extra game against a ranked team in the pac 12 conference title game against UCLA. Of course they would have to win that game big.

If they don't get that extra game they can't be ranked above Florida who will have quality wins over LSU, A&M, Fl St.

    Really Duece Wayne?

They beat LSU, Texas A&M, South Carolina(blow out) and Florida St. But that is not NC game quality?

If there are no unbeaten teams nobody will have a better record than them.

Anybody who follows college football knows Florida beat LSU. It was the biggest game that week and the biggest win they have had since the Tebow era. It does not matter how they beat LSU they won the game.

You might forget their first sec game against A&M when nobody knew what A&M would be but who follows college football that doesn't know they beat LSU? Nobody!

Florida beating Fl St would give them more wins over top 15 teams than any team! Their only loss was to Georgia. No they have not blown out many teams but they have won all but one.

And they almost got beat by Missouri and Louisiana, and even Bowling Green gave them a run for their money.

Why don't you use what bits and pieces of working brain cells you have before posting next time.

Though yes, they beat LSU. Auburn almost beat LSU too. LSU was a bit overrated this year. Though if Florida beats Florida State then hats off to them. Though my comment had less to do with their record and more to do with the quality of their team. They just haven't been very consistent this season and I just don't view them as the #2 team in the nation. So I dunno, maybe college football is just having an awkward year this year.

They struggle on offense because their QB is inconsistent but outside of that Florida is a really good team. They have a better resume than anyone else if they win out.

The best thing that happened to Florida was losing against Georgia. Don't have to play against Alabama in the SEC Championship game and still get to play in the National Title game? No problem!

I agree that they have one of the better resume's in terms of their record, I just find it baffling that a team that is that inconsistent has a good shot at being in the NC.

Almost getting beat doesn't count. They are 9-1 and have beaten the 7th, 9th and 12th ranked teams period! If they also beat the 10th ranked team they will have as many quality wins as anybody else. More quality wins than Notre Dame or Oregon.

Florida has one of the 10 best defenses in the country. They also may have one of the ten best running games but because of their passing game they don't run up big scores on people. Do you judge a team more by their victories over lesser teams than by their ability to play with the best?
