Hey guys I am buying some tickets from a local guy in a few days and he told me what to expect in terms of how these tickets look. I'm buying 3 tickets, 2 are his and 1 is his friend's. His friend's is the normal ticket with the players on it, but he says his look different. He says they aren't the pretty ones with the players on them, they just look like regular tickets. He says this is because his are "reprint" tickets; saying that his season tickets were mailed to his old address and he had to call and have them reprinted resulting in the old tickets being cancelled and these being the valid tickets (still printed and mailed by Titans, not e-tickets). Titans ticket office explained to him that when tickets are reprinted they just don't look the same (As fancy) as the original prints. Has anyone ever had their tickets reprinted or bought reprinted tickets before, and can you verify that they indeed look different? Thanks
I bought tickets from a ticketmaster outlet the day they went on sale and those never look the same with the players on them. They just look like a concert ticket or something. Your situation does sound a little fishy. Do you know this guy? Do you trust him? I always buy from stubhub.com or directly from the Titans site, ticketmaster or one of their outlets. That's a failsafe to not get ripped off. I did buy some tickets from a scalper last year. Got to the gate and they wouldn't scan. They told us to go to the ticket office and when we got there they told us the tickets had been reported stolen. My friend and I took off back to where the scalper was and eventually found him. He looked surprised to see us and gave us 2 other tickets that worked. All that to say, you never know how honest someone is if you meet them on the street or online, so be cautious. We would have been out of over $100 if we weren't able to find him.
I've had tickets that look like regular event tickets. As long as there's a valid barcode on it, you'll be fine.
I don't know much about reprinted tickets, but I had a pair last year for week-3 vs the Giants and the tickets said week-4. Guy I got em from assured me they weren't fakes, and sure enough they did work.
I don't know the guy, found on craigslist. But he's not a scalper, his season tickets. I am going to meet him at his office. Seats aren't amazing, you would think a scammer would only go through the trouble of counterfeiting expensive seats, but it's still a lot of money to me. I just wanted to make sure there are tickets out there that look like regular event tickets, and you guys have confirmed that. Thanks!
If you're meeting him at his office, they're probably legit. If I were selling fakes, I wouldn't let anyone know where I worked unless i wanted the place burned to the ground.
If the guy is letting you come to his workplace then i think your fine. He'd be beyond dumb to invite you where he works and then pull something shady.Sounds like you got yourself a legit deal.
