ESPN Radio just reported that an unnamed ND player has told them that the whole team knew all along that Teo was just doing it for publicity because he likes attention. Let me repeat, the whole team knew it was a fake.

At first I wasn't aware of how long this girlfriend was supposedly in his life. After doing some basic research, it's hard to give Manti the benefit of the doubt, it reeks of bullsh*t.

Do I think it's possible to love someone you've never met? Sure. BUT, all online relationships includes skyping with each other. Also, after learning they've been "seeing" each other for a few years now, all those years, and you never wanted to skype or meet the person you're "in love" with?

And most importantly, not going to the funeral of the "love of your life" for the last few years? Sounds like "killing her off" was to bury all loose ends.

Personally, I don't believe Manti started the hoax, I do believe he thought he was crushing on a girl online and he found out rather early that he was being duped but decided to roll with it after coming up with the idea of using it to self promote.

-Star player in college, you don't have to try and meet someone online
-How do you not Skype or FaceTime or snap chat or whatever else?
-Why was this information held for so long? If that even is true.

i don't believe any of it. why? because i skype almost daily when a significant other and guess what? the military personnel uses it too. he wasn't in a relationship at all. even if she somehow existed no way would all of this **** happen.
