I tend to agree. But then the crazy part is why is Notre Dame going along with it and releasing statements backing him up? I mean, I know the easy answer is "they don't want to look bad". But if it's as "open and shut" as the evidence suggest, surely they're smart enough to know they are only making themselves look worse by perpetrating the lie. At least you would think.

Who one earth would want to talk on the phone with manti Te'o every night until he fell asleep for two years? Seems a little too dedicated for a prank don't ya think?

I have not read all the info. I got the score center update while in class and talked with some friends about it... I'll have to read more into it, but my first reaction was "what a ****ing d*ck."

I assumed, as others have as well, that he used this story as a way to build hype on him, get people feeling sorry for him and putting him on a pedestal.

He's a fake douche. The fake part doesn't surprise me. He had that vibe to begin with. But this is just insane.

I wouldn't even draft this chode in the 7th round now. Not going to reward a guy for being a douche attention whore.

You're talking about the school that covered up a rape case involving football players and sort of tried to sweep the death of a cameraman at practice under the rug. Notre Dame has big issues. The people running the show there haven't exactly proven to be masters of PR, nor doing the right thing.

Honestly, that program sounds like it might be on the brink of totally falling apart.

Not sure what you're trying to say here. Are you just arguing the semantics of sexual assault vs. rape? If so, why? That doesn't move the discussion forward at all. If not, what are you trying to say?

    The story is real. http://ncronline.org/blogs/ncr-today/notre-dame-s-bowl-appearance-puts-lizzy-seeberg-story-back-news

Regardless of what actually happened, Notre Dame tried to cover it up. Their handling of the situation was very poor.
