Because we drafted Derrick Morgan as a pass rusher.

All of our problems on defense fall on the fact that we haven't had a legitimate force in the front seven in years.

Derrick Morgan was the official dismantling of this defense.

I hope one day soon the Titans are the 2013-14 Seahawks. I hate Pete Carrol but damn he has to be considered one of the best coaches in modern day football.

They looked very competitive before they got Wilson.

Unlike our coach, unless he has a potential HOF QB, he literally looks like he would struggle coaching at the high school level.

There was an article on this last year after they won the super bowl. Basically it was on ESPN and the author said they were on the verge of a dynasty then.

He said the Seahawks last year was one of the youngest teams to ever won a Superbowl and having a young team is a requirement to building a dynasty. He also said that no team in the NFL will ever win 3-4 Superbowls in a row any more due to the salary cap. It prohibits this from being a possibility. With that he was saying the last dynasty in the new era of the salary cap was the Patriots winning 3 in 5 years I believe. That is what makes a dynasty in the current era.

In my opinion, I do not see why the Hawks can't win 3 in 5...

    Before the salary cap:
    Packers 5 titles in 7 years (1961-1967)
    Stoolers 4 titles in 6 years (1974-1979)
    49ers 4 titles in 9 years (1981-1989)
    Redskins 3 titles in 10 years (1982-1991)

    Since the salary cap:
    Patriots 3 titles in 4 years (2001-2004)

The Cowboys also won 3 in 4 years, winning back to back in 1992-1993 and again in 1995. The salary cap began in 1994 so the Cowboys won twice before the cap started and once afterwards with the same group of stars.

The Seahawks had less sacks than the Titans this year.

True but that isn't my point. Their pass rush is more effective and they are capable of dropping people into coverage while we have to blitz.

I think a lot of it is that they have better personnel on the back. They have a bunch of guys that run around and challenge people.
