When have you ever heard of a player offering to give a team money back due to lousy play?

The day that happens Adam Jones will be the head of the NFL's disciplinary committee.

Ahmad Hall needs to be up there. He's making minimum.

What good does the money do if we don't spend it? MR is tight. Maybe he gets to keep the leftover cap money. :)

Basically when guys are still in their original contracts thay are going to be cheap (even Woolfolk would be cheap had he turned out good enough to be at least a starter). When they become FAs they want to get paid. We have a boat load of guys who were cheap but will be sticking their hand out wanting some money in the next year or two. Difficult decisions will have to be made on guys like Bell.

  5. I know that hes still under that contract, but i thought that they could have reconstructed it because hes not doing anything.

You're one of the few that'd say so.

Typically there are two ways to restructure a guy still on his rookie contract.
    1. Add more money and more years.
    2. Cut him.

Also, I beleive the vet minimum now is $850,000 which is why Hartsock makes that amount (same amount as Moulds). A few years ago when we needed CAP space a guy like him would never be on the final roster. They would opt for a younger cheaper guy.

  8. They will. It's called being released...

Who isn't giving good value: Haynesworth, Givens, LT, and the bottom five on the list, although they are relatively cheap so its hard to complain too much.
It's not that Haynesworth isn't (or can't be) a good player. But his production and problems to this point don't warrant that money.

Salary cap wise, looking at this list, I don't think we have to worry much about the future. Mawae has 2 seasons, maybe 3. Hentrich probably only has 2 seasons left, if that. Haynesworth will likely be gone, or here cheaper. Givens, LT, and Woolfook will likely be gone, or here at a reduced salary as well. I'm not sure Olsen sticks around too much longer, but we'll see. That's 7 players making 20+ Million a year total that will be free'd up during the next 2-3 seasons.

Then I am one of the few who is right.

Evidence backs me up, not blind idiocy.
